I think I might buy a mac just to see what's so bad about them firsthand. wish me luck, gentlemen.
I think I might buy a mac just to see what's so bad about them firsthand. wish me luck, gentlemen.
Buy a used one in the newer generations atleast. Save money with no loss in performance. :eng101:
I think I might buy a mac just to see what's so bad about them firsthand. wish me luck, gentlemen.
you will only hate it if you force yourself too
The only thing I see wrong about Macs is the price, and some of the stupid people using it
The only difference is the price and software compatibility.
The only difference is the price and software compatibility.
You forgot about PRICE!
The only thing I really hate about Macs is the mighty mouse. Who the fuck had the idea of making such an annoying scrollwheel :argh:
the mightly mouse is old news
My mums iMac is pretty nice but it does have a tendency to thermal when on 7 thanks to no driver to control the fans
Buy a used one in the newer generations atleast. Save money with no loss in performance. :eng101:
Ahahahah, "performance"...
What's sad is that macs have better specs than the laptops I own They have intel chipsets while macs have nvidia or ati Excruciatingly stupid IMO
Guys, We get that the majority of the thread thinks that Macs are slow and overpriced. If you want to go off topic, at least come up with something different or interesting to talk about.
XP mode would like a word with you. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5733962/zomgwtf.png[/img_thumb] I took this one when trying out both WinXP mode and VirtualBox.
FUCK!!! I just accidentally deleted EVERYTHING from my netbook! Not that I had anything important on it, but it will be a fucking pain in the fucking ass to reinstall everything and what not. How the fuck did this happen? Well I was trying to dual boot with XP and Windows 7, so I followed this guide: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/8057-dual-boot-installation-windows-7-xp.html I did everything it told me to but when I went to install XP it wouldn't let me install onto the partition I had made for it. I then thought "hmm" and rebooted the computer so I could recheck everything in W7. Well guess what? Windows 7 wouldn't boot. I then looked through the guide and tried the tip that said I could repair the bootloader with the Windows 7 install disc. I tried, but "bootrec /fixboot" returned an error saying that the C: drive was an unrecognized format. At this point I tried using the "dir" command on the C: drive. Everything was there, and the filetype was NTFS like always. Why the fixboot command couldn't read it is still a mystery. After some time of frustration I thought fuck it and went and tried installing XP again. It was the same as before of course. I then saw a partition that was 1MB which Windows would install on if it was bigger. I then deleted that partition so I could expand it by deleting the other partition I originally made for XP. Well, I went ahead and deleted the 1MB drive and then BAM! Everything was gone. WTF times 153,215,320 [editline]31st January 2011[/editline] Boxes please, because I apparently did something wrong somewhere [editline]31st January 2011[/editline] But now when the drive is completely wiped, what should I install first? XP or 7?
Oh wow, I just got an email from youtube that someone commented on my old video, it turns out theres a huge ass argument over GHz and shit. Should I post the video link, I'm laughing my ass off.

Quick thing: Some guys are trying to make a site that lets you access facebook and youtube from school, and here is the copypasta of the desc: 01 March at 22:00 We're working on a website to help people access Facebook and Youtube from school. The site will be released in ...a few days! To keep the site "under the radar" and prevent it from getting blocked by school filters, it won't be posted on the event page, but rather, it will be send out in an announcement to all "guests". So, you have to join this event (click "I'm Attending") in order to be notified when the site is released. (Note, this is not a normal "event"; there is nothing happening at a specific time or place, and the event "date" was chosen at random. This "event" was create solely to be able to send messages about the site to people who sign up to receive them, since Facebook no longer allows you to create "groups" for this purpose.) My name's Bennett and you can email me if you have any questions about the group or about the website once it's out! Happy Facebooking and YouTubing! Because the school cant check your history and block it then :v:
I don't really get why facebook is "needed" to be checked at school. Also, youtube shouldn't be blocked because there are useful content, but I guess that's what some schools get for having lazy and/or stupid IT staff that assume everyone is on there to look at cats falling off the couch.

You are there to learn, not to just browse the 'net.

Youtube, however, has lots of content that I've learned from. When I had programming classes, I searched videos on sort algorithms for optimization. Luckily, when I was in school, I had IT staff that understood this, so it wasn't blocked, however it was monitored.
