600 GB, but we never get up there.
Acutally, we almost did when my old friend was watching about 200GB of [sp]Shemale[/sp] porn @ 3:00 AM.
On my PS3 that was TWO DAYS OLD AND I DIDN'T SET A PASSWORD ON IT.
550/600 GB was used.
It was all videos.
Thank god he moved back to Ohio.
:wtc:
200 GB of porn is alright, but 200 GB of SHEMALE PORN!? And you still call him a "friend"!
That would only be a good deal in Egypt, where there is no internet access currently.
Don't you know anything about Australia's crappy internet?

In Canada, Bell has a 2GB bandwidth cap and charges $2 for every GB over the 'cap.

Shamelessly stolen from the Usage-based Billing in Canada thread (ITN).
I don't think I would survive in Canada.
I set up Rainmeter to monitor my internet usage a week ago and I am at 68 GB Down and 2 up (I don't have anything torrenting, so I'm can't seed).
EDIT:
I'm at 69 now.

Well it's better now, they charged 7$/GB over the cap before. We have everything in Canada, except decent ISPs :canada:
Well we have Teksavvy, but that's only for the west, east only gets Bell and Videotron :saddowns:
Oh and I forgot, the 2 GB cap is for their lowest plan (256k I think), their "intermediate" plan gets a 60 GB cap.

I can only imagine trying to play an FPS with the pings such a system would have.
Most of the people won't even go over that bandwidth cap, why have it? That +20GB you might download after reaching the bandwidth cap doesn't even cost them a single cent. In fact, a customer downloading 1GB and another downloading 1TB per month costs the same for them. Data (or Information) =/= Electricity, gas, water, fuel, etc.
It's a great way for them to suggest a higher subscription to you. Be glad you have a cap people and not a FUP(Fair Usage Policy) like I do.
In short the can advertise it as unlimited but they start to bitch when you use to much. The problem? There adverts don't mention there is a FUP. There entire site and everything refers to the FUP for limits and etc. The FUP itself (as far as I can find) is some rules made up in 2006 placing it around 10 GB a month, of course it isn't 10 a month anymore.
If they decide you went over it (and you don't know when that is) you get a warning. 3 warnings is getting kicked out(and there like the only company giving cable television here so bye to TV to).
So yeah there is around 120 after I went over it twice with like 100%.

Move out. Move to the west or to Europe.

Saw it an hour ago
It's so awesome!
Does comcast limit bandwidth or anything? We could switch to them and get better speeds for cheaper, but I've always disliked comcast.

I'm pretty sure my ISP doesn't even give a shit about my internet usage, last month I downloaded over 1TB of data from the internet (2 computers reinstalled, downloaded Steam games and I helped a friend in reinstalling his computer too, so I downloaded his Steam games too with using my connection since his connection is quite slow, also my whole family started using Spotify 24/7). $20/month, no throttling, no caps, nothing. I love my ISP.

It's actually pretty generous compared to Canada
I'm using it now and the 600GB cap has never been reached.

I have a 400 GB cap but it hasn't been monitored in months, I used to exceed it every month but then when they stopped monitoring it suddenly whoop no overcharging
I doubt we'd use 600GB but my brother is a huge torrenter, still doubting it's above 600GB a month. Should I switch? I currently get about 10 Mb/s download (1.2 MB Download) and 1-2 Mb/s upload. It's horrible!
Content I just remembered:
5 years ago, a friend of mine has gone 10GB over his bandwidth cap. His mother told him to not to download anything because they were on a quite expensive ISP temporaly. At the end of the month, they received a letter telling them to pay $1000 due to going "extremely" over the bandwidth cap and they "could've damaged their systems because of the extra load". I'm still puzzled how he managed to go over the 5GB cap with a wireless 0.1/0.0000000000000000000001Mbit/s connection.

If you have no cap then you shouldn't. 1.2MB/s is a quite good speed, I usually download with that.

My Desire Z has been running for 4 days on the same charge now, amazing isn't it?
Some semi-content : My dad asked me today why he had to charge his bluetooth headset. I think he thought these things ran on magic or something...
