My brother just received a CR48, I am jealous.

For fuck sake stop posting speedtests, it won't magically increase your e-pen that your parents pays for your larger-than-everyone-elses speedtest, and I've never ever read something more boring than "Baww I have bandwidth limits" It all started because I posted "Where did you buy that 100Mbit so cheap?" and suddenly everyone's going "HERE WE CAN ONLY GET 1MBIT FOR 2 BILLION POUNDS A MONTH DERP" Europe has good internet compared to everyone else, we get that, now start banning everyone for bandwagon thread shitting.

Why the hell does no-one make their powerpoints PPS files when they are done? I used to make them PPT, but then I turned five.

Australian ISP's charge so much for their bandwidth. I pay $70 aus (almost exactly $1 us) For 100GB per month with a 26.3mb/s download and 6.7mb/s upload. Damn Australian pricing.

I even get steam content servers so I can download my games uncapped, and they run game servers so I can play the games I just freely downloaded, for free! :smug:

The steam servers are great and the fastest download i've ever gotten was 4.3 megabytes. Kinda edit: The point i was making was that in the US or Canada (well, not Canada anymore), you can get that for about $35-50. It's ridiculously expensive compared to the rest of the western world. Like $100 dollar new release games. It's kinda content from the ISPs because it doesn't really cost them anything more to give you more bandwidth.

Edit: Remembered some content. So last year, my school had a netbook program for all year 10's. I'm talking lenovo, horrible spec, very shoddy. After about 4 weeks, about 1/3 of the people who had them had bit's broken off or in a friends case, the in-built keyboard became loose. Anyway, the laptops came with a set of strict restrictions, the most notable one being a restriction on all .exe files being run out of the C:\ drive. Now, some student got the smart idea of booting Ubuntu from a USB drive, placing the .exe in the c: drive, and creating a shortcut back in windows. Then of course someone found the default administrator password for the netbooks and that all went out the window. But once the teachers caught wind of this, they started handing out suspensions for "hacking" the netbooks.

Our college annouced that they were going spend some of their budget on upgrading the library with some new tech to help make it easier to learn for everyone. 10 new iPod touches and 3 iPads.
