Oh wait, I just got the email, I may have gotten slightly mixed up.
[img_thumb]http://www.speedtest.net/result/1138611640.png[/img_thumb] I get about 3MB/sec download on Steam, and about 2 MB/sec when seeding my Linux distros.
Are you a Gelatine based product, sibling? :smith:
I'm terribly sorry I posted my download speed some pages back and started this stupidity. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] :smith:
STOP FUCKING POSTING YOUR INTERNET SPEED. NOBODY CARES. caps
It is also very off topic.
http://www.canadiandownload.com/ You know our caps and overages are bad when this service exists.
Could anyone suggest me a good tutor software for touch typing? Preferably multilingual. It took me 2 minutes to type this message using my low touch typing skills. Also, my fingers are 11cm long and I can barely fit them on the middle row, does this mean I'm unable to learn it?
I used to use Mavis Beacon.
My school is trying to replace our COWs with iPads. It would be such a downgrade... COWs are computers-on-wheels, just btw.
didn't clarify enough, it's a big metal cabinet on wheels that has 20 slots on each side for laptops. it has plugs for each laptop too. on top is a router that plugs into any ethernet jack on the wall for server connection.
70wpm index fingers only, would it really be worth it for me to make the switch to using all fingers?
nah. I taught myself to touch type sort of from hunt'n'pecking. Just evolved over time, I guess. I can get a cool 120 wpm or so. I completely ignore the home keys and that stuff, I just put my hands where they are needed, it makes my typing a lot more flexible. Really just keep at it and you'll learn to be better, it's just natural evolution.
We have this stupid program for typing from 1997 or so that still uses 256 colors...I don't use the home row, but I'm the fastest in my class (Highest I've gotten is 100wpm, but that's on one sentence, average ~70)
I was saddened when I found out that Mavis Beacon wasn't a real person.
Excuse me for the off-topic, but WHAT? The Cr-48 program ended 2 months ago! How's that possible?! Did he buy it or what?
It started two months ago...

And he received it from Google, he didn't even know what the box was. I was shaking it and stuff before I brought it to him, he said he ordered some shirts but it was too heavy for that. The box was completely unmarked on the exterior and had no signs of being from Google. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] My average WPM on Typeracer is 85 currently. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] It would be so much higher if I didn't make so many errors...
Are there any websites for testing your wpm?
Are there any websites for testing your wpm?
Use http://play.typeracer.com , it's a fun little game while testing your WPM.
typeracer.com is the first thing I can think of that said I usually average ~90 wpm [editline]wef[/editline] ninja
Use http://play.typeracer.com , it's a fun little game while testing your WPM.
Whoo, 38WPM. I'm not natively English though, and I can't flawlessly remember where the keys are on the keyboard. [editline]o[/editline] 47 :buddy: [editline]o[/editline] Not getting more than about 55.
typeracer.com is the first thing I can think of that said I usually average ~90 wpm [editline]wef[/editline] ninja
I was getting 70-80 then I moved my keyboard and I'm getting 90+ all the time, lol. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] Then my girlfriend comes in and dominates everything. :sigh: She uses caps for capitalizing letters, too. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] God, I can't believe she just waltzes in and gets 141 WPM.
Now that we're talking about typeracer, anyone up for a game?
http://play.typeracer.com/?rt=trshadaez come on in! :D
http://www.phoboslab.org/ztype/ It's difficult to play at the later levels, though fun as hell and was made using HTML5.
Pagefix. Content: i recently returned to halo reach after an extended period of garrys mod on highest settings. Im like "wut this looks shit! No anti-aliasing that i can notice, no motion blur, wth!" During a short moment of confusion i actually thought that something was seriously wrong with my tv. I also spoke this in matchmaking, in mid-game. It wasnt pretty. I seem to recall someone saying something along the lines of "dude, its completely impossible that a game for pc would look better than a game for xbox. The xbox contains top-of-the line tech that no modern pc can match." There were also a lot of "lol ur dumb", "pc fanboi" and a bunch of betrayals, but i was just so shocked by the difference. [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] Pagefix got ninja'd
