You can use a bookmarklet to change the difficulty that you start on: http://www.reddit.com/r/programming/comments/ezub3/type_to_shoot_html5_game_my_entry_for_mozillas/c1c94gq
Did that. Hit enter to get to wave 200 a couple more times than I should have. Currently, I'm on wave 601. There's ships that shoot about 10 single letter ships at you. Quite fun. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] I continued the next wave thinking "now there's some challenge" because of the longer words. They still couldn't handle my skill. I did wait for one of the big ships to come out and shoot the other little ones so you guys can see. I continued along, the ships still couldn't handle my skill as I was keeping them from even appearing on the screen. I'm pretty sure that I almost finished the wave, but then everything froze and firefox crashed. I'm just too good for the game I guess :smug:

Installed an optional driver update for Windows Vista for my wireless card I was previously running off drivers from the manufacturer's site (up-to-date ones) and getting 30 kbps speed, now I'm getting 900 kbps+ Windows update magically found me better drivers than the one the card's manufacturer made what the fuck [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] I mean geez windows update that's swell that you gave me better drivers but this place is only supposed to support 200 kbps internet are you a wizard [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] just noticed from the screenshot it installed IE, too always a fly in my pudding ;( [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] I've been on this 30 kbps line for about a year, so even though 700 kbps is shit compared to most networks (I have fiber optics at home... UGH) it's sort of wonderful at the moment [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] oh and by the way yesterday I was running chkdsk and my mother thought I was "hacking someone" because there was a cmd prompt all the content I can dredge up
my new logitech mx518 arrived yesterday
MX518 bros, fuck yeah :respek:
My dad somehow managed to install 4 toolbars while I was away for 3 minutes. MyWebSearch and CoolWebSearch is now getting eaten by MBAM. Edit: Problem eradicated, dad banished from PC.
I fucken' love Windows Update jesus shit it just climbed up to 12.2 mbps [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] I'll never disable optional updates from you again baby actually I will so I keep these drivers heh [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] backing them up atm though
Oh for the love of dick My school has decided to remove all the perfectly good PCs in the classrooms so the teacher can use their laptop instead I do admit this is a useful thing but what really confuses me is why the hell they introduced these little hubs that the projector and speaker plug into Connecting the display and audio is a single USB cable If you open a fullscreen Youtube video (Which they do a lot), one of two things happens You get a very low framerate on the video Or The entire computer crashes Bravo, educational system

This is the connection my school has.
Please don't tell me that they threw out the PCs... :ohdear:
I don't think they would've thrown out the identical Dell shitboxes in there, they're probably getting stuck along with the 5 (Unusable) eMacs they have in one of our classes
5 (Unusable) eMacs they have in one of our classes
What could they have done to make an eMac unusable? Those things are idiot proof. Or so I thought :ohdear:
What could they have done to make an eMac unusable? Those things are idiot proof. Or so I thought :ohdear:
They have no mouse or keyboard attached The only thing there is a power cable, which is just sitting there eating electricity
[img_thumb]http://www.speedtest.net/result/1140481769.png[/img_thumb] This is the connection my school has.
Telia is terrible, I have it at home (the speedtest I posted is the internet at work) and Its fucking terrible, can't get more than 8Mb/s where I live unless I get bredbands bolaget then I can get like 24Mb/s.
[img_thumb]http://www.speedtest.net/result/1140481769.png[/img_thumb] This is the connection my school has.
Ugh... don't start this shit again. Next person to do it deserves to be publicly executed by sandpaper.
CIPWTTKTAGC v9: speedtest.net So how bout them content? Here's something to get you guys started (I wouldn't quite consider this illiterate, but meh, we're lacking in content right now) My accelerated Biology teacher occasionally tries to compare things to computers, so like junk DNA is like that space between the hard drive size and the max capacity you see when formatted. Or at least that's what I think he was referring to. Basically it's just filled with random data that's entirely useless, when it's really just the hard drive companies rounding up the values to make their hard drives sound larger. AFAIK junk DNA = the data left behind after a file is regularly deleted, it's there, but there's no use for it since it's not actually indexed or used by anything.
AFAIK junk DNA = the data left behind after a file is regularly deleted, it's there, but there's no use for it since it's not actually indexed or used by anything.
It also doesn't mean anything; you could restructure non-indexed files on a harddrive, but the scrap info in DNA wasn't anything from the beginning.
My mom doesn't know how to use google.
Wow, CSS and new HTML stuff is so cool. A little more complicated than it used to be, but once you start to figure it out you can do some awesome stuff. I'm loving this. Drop shadows rock.
Oh my god, they replaced good 'ol fast Windows XP with Windows 7 in my school :gonk: It takes a whole minute to log in, up to 20 minutes first login :arghfist::saddowns: I have nothing against win7 myself, but for the already slow school computers... [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline] Oh and, they decided to put the disk image on the file server miles away, instead of the LAN one, making the computers unuseable for hours while the disk image was downloading :gonk:
New kid in the Academy, when he got his laptop they'd left windows 7 on it with full administrative permissions. This was 2 weeks ago, they've still not installed XP, and he's being a smug fuck about it. goddamn.
oh and by the way yesterday I was running chkdsk and my mother thought I was "hacking someone" because there was a cmd prompt all the content I can dredge up
The dreaded white text on black screen scenario, fairly common.

That is actually what it does
And how the hell does that work?
And how the hell does that work?
Highly skilled necromagic inside windows 7 (see: grimoire.dll) uses the souls of older computers to speed the [del]return of their dark god[/del] newer computers up. obviously.
And how the hell does that work?
Imagine you have a box that represents your computers performance. And a room, in which the box sits, which represents the OS. If the box is small, a huge room is not necessary and might even be bad. If the box is big, but the room is too small, it simply won't fit that well and a lot will be left on the outside, unable to be used. [sp]I like making metaphors[/sp]
