My monitor had some electronical problems with it. Father fixed it, but bent some pins on one connector, so it is a bit broken. Give that spot a little hit and it is fixed. Or wait a few minutes and it is fixed. I prefer waiting.
Also, Since my father got a new 15inch LCD monitor, he would give me another 17" monitor, kind of same as mine, had same problem but mine is LG L1710S, then the other is LG L1730S:

Our old TV had a problem where the image would completely screw itself over. If you hit it really hard in the same spot the buttons were it would fix itself completely. But then I hit it just a little too hard once and cracked it. Then it sort of exploded and we couldn't use it any more.
