displayport is brilliant, I like it. Apple adopted an upcoming standard, and I like that. A new, open standard
displayport is brilliant, I like it. Apple adopted an upcoming standard, and I like that. A new, open standard
I really hope it does become a standard because I am tired of carrying this damned adapter around with me just so I can hook up to any monitor that isn't a Cinema Display.

I love it when things in games and movies are so blatantly wrong, it's amusing.

They added that back in Displayport spec for 1.2, the monitors that support it aren't out yet though.
Actually, the currently available HD 6000 series cards support 6-monitor eyefinity. Each DisplayPort connector has the bandwidth for 3 displays running at 2560x1600 each. The only problem with this is that the adaptors aren't available yet.
I've been playing Alpha Protocol, so far I've EMPed padlocks (CCTV cameras are immune to this, apparently), used a .BAT file to trace phone calls, used "wireless" to hack keycard locks and best of all, overclocked napalm. v:v:v
I think I need this game.

Mandrith seriously needs to fill his dad's Mac with pirated music and CP and report him. I am not kidding.
ummm
I have seen dual link adapter, nothing that would output to three seperate say, dvi monitors [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline]
I think I need this game.
you dont, it's shit
you dont, it's shit
It's ok for £15, although you can get 20 indie games in bundles on steam right now for the same price.
this thread is lacking content, since when did these threads turn into discussion threads
since v6
ummm
The adaptor to connect 3 DisplayPort monitors into one mini-DP output.
The adaptor to connect 3 DisplayPort monitors into one mini-DP output.
Thats not how its supposed to be, the monitors will have what equates to a pass through in it. You connect your monitors through each other. At least that is what are supposed to be coming out this year. Though an adapter from displayport to 3 DVI monitors would be great. Displayport as a standard for monitors is something I like, its like HDMI with greater capability. It has ample bandwidth to do multiple monitors and audio on a single connection.
I would like to see DP becoming the new standard, much like DVI, it's incredibly versatile and is more full featured. Though companies need to start making more mainstream monitors with it standard before it becomes accepted
I asked my mom to run to Best Buy and get an HDMI cable for me, she got me a VGA.
I asked my mom to run to Best Buy and get an HDMI cable for me, she got me a VGA.
How does one mess that up
I have no idea, Best Buy employee?
Not quite computer illiterate content, but I fucking hate it when I go into PC World to have a browse through components / stuff and I'm mobbed by 50 members of staff asking if I need any help. Even worse, when you ARE looking for someone, they're all busy.
Mandrith seriously needs to fill his dad's Mac with pirated music and CP and report him. I am not kidding.
42.zip would probably be better, unfortunately Macs use EFI / GUID so doing something like dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/sda would do nuzzink except maybe confuse it a little.
why not just drill a hole in his computer or something
I asked my mom to run to Best Buy and get an HDMI cable for me, she got me a VGA.
Well, I suppose the one upside is that Best Buy HDMI cables are grossly overpriced anyways.
Well, I suppose the one upside is that Best Buy HDMI cables are grossly overpriced anyways.
I asked for the cheapest one they had, they're all the same.
Well, I suppose the one upside is that Best Buy HDMI cables are grossly overpriced anyways.
I went to Best Buy once to buy a HDMI cable, the cheapest one was like $30 so I went on newegg and bought one for like $4
Either way, my TV has a VGA port for some odd reason, it has three HDMI, two Audio/Video/Video2 sections, one HD Audio/Video/Video2, and then it also has ports for Home Theater.
