Mandrith, install Windows on his computer, but don't set it to boot. When you have a chance to go on a trip or grandparents or whatever, for at lease 2 days or so, and you know that your dad will use the computer only when you're not there, enable Windows to boot first before going. Although he will still blame you :smith:

TO THE CLOUD! Fucking microsoft
Because Microsoft know what they're doing too. Just look at the Windows 7 adverts for instance.
hey if I wanted to sell a complex product to the public I would dumb it down as much as possible too
hey if I wanted to sell a complex product to the public I would dumb it down as much as possible too
Tech-literate people are an endangered species
hey if I wanted to sell a complex product to the public I would dumb it down as much as possible too
Just look at Apple's strategy, "It's magical! Even we don't understand how we could make it so perfect". That's how it's done, because people don't know shit. In other news, just bought a Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB. It'll be a nice refresh from the 180GB laptop one I've used so far. Shit's slow.
Because Microsoft know what they're doing too. Just look at the Windows 7 adverts for instance.
Thats only their selling point, my grandad worked on Powerpoint and some others.
Is that a photoshop or is it a real cable? :ohdear:
No its real, and it works.
Sends 110V down your ethernet port
Or 230V depending on country.
Or 230V depending on country.
Screw that I'm sticking this baby into my 10kV transformer.
Sometimes I am glad to have a family member that used to work for Microsoft so he knows what he is doing.
Sometimes??
Sometimes??
Microsoft
Microsoft
No matter your personal opinions about the company you can't deny that it takes something to write a kernel+OS, and alot of other software. There's alot they have to take into the equation, compability with older windows versions, etc.
Microsoft
Herp-a-derp I don't like microsoft products so I'm just gonna assume every single guy who worked at microsoft is responsible of what I don't like
Microsoft infects anyone who works for it.
Microsoft makes great operating systems, what's with the hate?
Apparently everyone hates Microsoft and Apple.
Due to a bet, I'm obligated to hate anything propietary until 2020.
All operating systems have their different advantages Microsoft windows - Good for pretty much everything Linux - Great for server hosting and programming Mac OS - User friendly

The features of Linux vary too much from distribution to distribution to judge them like that. Early day dependency hell ahoy
All operating systems have their different advantages Microsoft windows - Good for pretty much everything Linux - Great for server hosting and programming Mac OS - User friendly
Or Microsoft windows - Good for people who don't know better Linux - Great for people who know too much/better Mac OS - A powerful OS hidden behind a dumbass facade, between Windows and Linux
Or Microsoft windows - Good for people who don't know better Linux - Great for people who know too much/better Mac OS - A powerful OS hidden behind a dumbass facade, between Windows and Linux
I am really good at computers and I prefer windows over linux, sure linux has some advantages, but it's not worth giving up a great gaming experience.
I am really good at computers and I prefer windows over linux, sure linux has some advantages, but it's not worth giving up a great gaming experience.
That's why I have two computers. My laptop is running Linux and my desktop computer is running Windows 7 which I pretty much only use for gaming.
Or Microsoft windows - Good for people who don't know better Linux - Great for people who know too much/better Mac OS - A powerful OS hidden behind a dumbass facade, between Windows and Linux
Seriously frog out. Not saying the other person is totally right, but that is just shit. "Doesn't know better", should be "Good for people that want to play games, and overall have alot of freeware, aswell as ease of use and pleasing look".
I have Ubuntu on an USB hdd for school, locked down pirated windows XP on the school computers.
I remember this thread having a lot more content when it was in Fast Threads. WORK ON THE ILLITERACY, you argumentative little skinks.
I have Ubuntu on an USB hdd for school, locked down pirated windows XP on the school computers.
Windows XP Pirated Locked down :ohdear:
Or Microsoft windows - Good for people who don't know better Linux - Great for people who know too much/better Mac OS - A powerful OS hidden behind a dumbass facade, between Windows and Linux
Oh, so we're here to troll ? Wait [troll] Windows - A Powerful OS, yet a bit unstable at times, which is backed up by plenty of programs. Linux - Great for people who want to make servers and are only using CLI programs Mac OS - A powerful, dumbed down OS which is rather useless, due to it's lack of programs (Music - Image editing - Video Editing - Every single thing) [/troll] There's no terrible or best OS. Each OS has pros and cons. Even though OSX really lacks programs.
