Mandrith, install Windows on his computer, but don't set it to boot. When you have a chance to go on a trip or grandparents or whatever, for at lease 2 days or so, and you know that your dad will use the computer only when you're not there, enable Windows to boot first before going. All operating systems have their different advantages Microsoft windows - Good for pretty much everything Linux - Great for server hosting and programming Mac OS - User friendly

Linux - Great for people who want to make servers and are only using CLI programs Mac OS - A powerful, dumbed down OS which is rather useless, due to it's lack of programs (Music - Image editing - Video Editing - Every single thing) [/troll] There's no terrible or best OS. Each OS has pros and cons. Even though OSX really lacks programs.
