Why can't I rate posts? It redirects to the home page when I try to rate a post.

Great, now there's another FP domain, fpcontent.net. Make sure Noscript isn't blocking it.

Yea! Got it, I love arch!
I lost all faith in humanity today.. So.. My sister thinks she's really good with computers and technology etc, but she still want my approval about what she's buying. So she showed me this laptop she were thinking about purchasing and asked me if the specs were allright.
"Well.. It only got 2 gigs of ram, but I guess it's allright with your needs".. I said.
"That's no problem" she replied, "I got 1 gig extra lying on my desk".
"Oh, really?" I replied.
We went to her room and she picked up something from her desk. She turned around with that fucking :smug: face and gave me a 1 gig memory stick.

Does he know what even Python is?
His website is so broke right now. It makes me laugh each time I visit it and see his shitty picture on the front and all the broken links and pictures.
I fail to see your logic.
His logic is that those who hack are in search of the Truth and stand for the greater good. Like the whole idea of people hacking consoles, "I own it, so I should be able to do what I want for it." Which again, leads back to that idea of them doing this stuff for the greater good and the RIGHTS of consumers.
Thus a "hacker" would be considered more trustworthy because their 'ideals' are to stand up for the rights of the people and do what they want with the things they own.
*using the term "Hacker" loosely.
we also had an introduction to HTML.
3 years ago, My old IT Class' had a go at HTML in Notepad, we then went onto Word for the rest of the time. (I now know they use Serif Software or FrontPage)
Same Year we had a go at photoshop, the most complex thing we made was making album covers.
Glad I'm leaving that school this year.
I now go to college once a week, That class uses Photoshop & Dreamweaver. So much better than my school.

Actually she is right. Windows readyboost (isn't that what it's called?) can add memory. My sister couldn't run Minecraft without it crashing all the time, so i gave her an old 512mb memorystick. No more crashes since.
It seems I cant post.

that helps but all ir does is basically move the page file if i understand how it works - it also disorys drives quickly if used alot

If you use a flash drive for memory, it is able to wear it out if you use it on a long term basis since they only have a limited amount of erase/write cycles. Source.
This is actually one of the reasons why you are told to get actual memory and to use this as a short temporary solution.

What did you say?
[editline]5th January 2011[/editline]
But yeah, Readyboost is quite nice
Unless you have a brand new USB 3.0 flash drive, I can't see Readyboost being any snappier than using the hard drive. You're limited to USB 2.0 speeds, which are (Compared to SATA) pretty slow. The only advantage would be caching small, frequently used files but with RAM being as cheap as it is (Depending on the laptop / desktop), it isn't worth doing for long periods of time.

Where could my XP install be? I can't find it! So I am using Vista.
I think I am going to brick a VM. With Navashield maybe. That would be awesome!
Man, that Spark browser shit looks so fucking ridiculous.
In high-school we had a 2 programming classes. In the first one we did some QBasic, TIBasic, and VB6 (really basic stuff). The year I was supposed to take the second class I couldn't because they canceled it. We were supposed to look at some more advanced VB stuff and maybe even C if we were good enough. During that year and the one after I participated in FIRST robotics and I did most of the electronics and programming on my own. This is where I learned a good amount of C++. I also did some PHP work at one point too.
Now I'm in college and we had 2 semesters of VB.NET and 1 semester of Java.
Last summer break I started planning with a friend for a 2d physics sandbox game. We kept on planning during the last semester. We now started coding it. It's nothing much yet, but it's a start. We plan to have a full-ish 2d engine that support Multiplayer and modding. All done in C++. Actually I still need to finish coding the console backend...
This just shows how little school teaches you. Most of the stuff I know I learned myself.
we had technology class where C was taught, but it never went into any more advanced stuff.
one of my friends is no longer allowed to compile his code because every time he runs it something goes wrong
; <-- was probably why.
no. it always compiles fine just never runs right
maybe his bits just rot really fast
New AMD processor as well as the Intel Sandybridge.

Seeing that Turion X2 logo thing reminded me of my second laptop, an HP Pavilion dv5...
CPU overheated like fuck.
160F idle and would hit 210F under load and shit on itself.
Was like that ever since purchase.
i heard about rotting bytes but never rotting bits.
