one of my friends is no longer allowed to compile his code because every time he runs it something goes wrong[/QUOTE]
Is he part of the opera dev team by any chance? Something odd just happened on my box. I just changed to another workspace and poof I was brought to tty1. After looking around I noticed that Xorg died. What I get is that opera somehow segfaulted in a way that caused Xorg to exit cleanly.
chrome is based off of webkit
so is safari

And you don't need 20 screens, if you do, you have a small monitor.

Not all of us run at 1920x1080. Or whatever the image is. Just be considerate next time and maybe think of posting a smaller image.

I almost have to scroll horizontally and vertically on my 2048x1536 monitor to see the whole thing
I forgot about my friend who is a moron. I knew him back in highschool and he always talked about Computers and I thought maybe it would be neat to talk to him about them. I was really big into computers and building my own and everything.
Everyday he would come in with a "new computer". One day he would have the top of the line Intel processor, the next day he had the top of the line AMD processor.
Basically whatever he had read about or heard about the most recently is what he had.
Right now he posted on his Facebook "ew, Sandy Bridge" So I asked him why Ew? He complained that he is worried because he can't overclock it, the cache size is too small, since its CPU and GPU there is bottlenecking of the CPU, and that the battery life with the chips is going to be horrible.
So I kept talking to him and now he is telling me how the Sandy Bridge chips are not as good as the "i series". Which I didn't know what he meant by the "i series". Then I realized he meant Sandy Bridge chips aren't as good as the i5 and i7 series...

I browse on a laptop... My laptop is 1280x800 I think... I didn't even bother reading any of the picture because I don't have time to click and drag around.
tell him that Sandy Bridge are the 2nd gen 'i' series
problem solved??? hopefully??

I was like typing out my response to him and after I typed i series, I was like... oh he means i5 and i7. So I rephrased it and said "Um, Sandy Bridge is the i series?" lol
[editline]6th January 2011[/editline]
He says his Core i7 920 destroys ALL of the Sandy Bridge chips... I don't know how true that is, does anyone who knows anything about the Sandy Bridge chips know how valid that is?
To everyone complaining about image sizes:
There's a wonderful little Firefox addon called Image Zoom. Look it up.

I played with the snowflakes using that. I made a bunch of them about 400% their original size :v:.

Ummm.... He meant that he USES CHROME, so he doesn't have Image Zoom...
But apparently there is Image Zoom for Chrome?
Also, it requires middle mouse button? So I can't use Image Zoom anyways.

Oh, I see. Nevermind then.
I need a computer with at least 200 Jiggabits of memory.
[QUOTE=FlakTheMighty;27224304]New AMD processor as well as the Intel Sandybridge.

Thanks, I didn't think about resizing because I'm sort of grounded from any tech related stuff at the moment, so I have to sneak on at night.
What is your guys' problem? I can just CTRL+Scroll to resize the image...
[editline]6th January 2011[/editline]
Or, if I'm on my netbook without a mouse, I can just resize the image using the multitouch feature :smug:

Why?
I just converted another friend to google chrome because IE was taking up all their RAM.
[editline]6th January 2011[/editline]
He was thinking about replacing IE with Safari.
Dad referred me to his friend for me to install phone and ethernet in the house, and while I was doing it one of their PC's wouldn't POST at all - I tried resetting CMOS and such, trying both sticks of RAM individually, nothing worked, so now I'm building them a computer, too! Pretty awesome.

And just what did you do?
My new Arch Netbook setup runs Minecraft at 4FPS.
That's a double performance increase over My old Ubuntu Netbook setup :woop:

How sucky is your netbook?

Asus EEE 701 4G, Back when they first came out I got one, using a 900 MHz Celeron M, which I think is underclocked to 700MHz and before I dumped the Preloaded Xandros OS I discovered that my old Dead Dell laptop used the exact type of ram that my EEE uses so I doubled my ram for free, 1GB of Ram now.
I would love to replace the Shitty SSD on it, That thing's slower than my old Win 2k Machine, But the Chips are soldered on.
So at school today I ended talking about gaming and he asks me whether I play Bad Company 2 on PS3 or Xbox. I replies with PC and he was stunned and started laughing. He thinks when you play on the PC the graphics are shit. You can't aim with a mouse and keyboard and joy pads are better. I said to him "If joy pads are so good then why do you have auto-aim?" And he shut his mouth, I think I convinced him that PC gaming has way more pros than console gaming.

Wow!? Today, I was talking about BF2 and how good it is and that you can easily turn the tide of battle on a console with a squad of teamwork, still he prefers the PC versions of the battlefield series.
