I'd still be a shitsucker to use it with that screen. I think TI calculators only cost so much because there's only one person left in the world that knows how to make a screen that shitty. Winners to whomever links to where I stole that joke from.
I thought the TI calcs were Z80-based, not ARM.
Ah fucking true. I need to buy a new TI one, the Nspiration or whatever it was. That one has ARM, TI-89 has a 68k :frogc00l:
[img_thumb]http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/1996.png[/img_thumb]
Hey, my graphing calculator has a 16 mhz CPU and 128kb of RAM. Times really have changed. Also overclocked the CPU to 24 mhz :frogc00l:

Considering the space available on calculators, I think it would be more accurate to call it cooling with plastic.
DUDE! BULLSHIT 24 MHZ ON AIR? NO WAY YOU'ed need water cooling for 24 MHZ
Someone actually did water cooling on his Voyager 200 and brought it up to 50 mhz. But it was rather unstable. Crashed all the time. He took it down to 45 and it was stable at that. I'm quite impressed at what you can do on these machines.

Page 40! [editline]8th January 2011[/editline] Anyway, I was forced by my school to buy a Time Capsule for backups for the MacBook Pro. Can I set it up with FTP to use it as a fileserver, and actually use it for something worthwhile?
Don't think so. AFAIK, it's just an Airport Extreme with a HDD put in there. Did they force you to buy it with your own money? EDIT: Looking around in the Airport Settings, there's a Disks tab. I can enable SMB/AFP for any connected disks, don't know if your TC will allow that though.
forced by my school to buy
oh, buying your grades. How quaint.
I still like racing games better on gamepads
I know I'm a few pages late but mouse and keyboard have been proven to be better then gamepads. That video is a XIM3 mouse and keyboard adapter being use for the XBOX, now I would like to see them reason with that :v:
Didn't Microsoft themselves prove pretty much the same thing? Back when they were porting Halo 2 to PC, they tested cross-platform play - they took the best Halo 2 players around, and put them against a bunch of average PC gamers. PC fucking dominated - it was literally a massacre. That's what I heard, at least. Can't find a source, but then again, I haven't really looked.
oh, buying your grades. How quaint.
Ummmmm, not quite?
I still like racing games better on gamepads
I agree with you. I'll probably still buy games for PC and use a gamepad, So I can get better frames and it looks better.
Ummmmm, not quite?
Yes it is. I didn't say you were buying them from your school. But if they're forcing you to buy something you don't need, especially if you already have a laptop of similar or superior quality, you're pretty much buying grades your school is supposed to give you from Apple. Apple is oblivious to this, they're just glad you're buying shit.

Schools have required materials, especially if it is a University or College... What are you on about buying grades that the school is supposed to give you from Apple? Apple holds your grades? And thats where you get them from? Are we talking about grades such as (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) or (A, B, C, D, F)???
if they forced you to buy a hard drive with a grey logo on it then you should complain to your school
if they forced you to buy a hard drive with a grey logo on it then you should complain to your school
Depends on where you go to school... If it is a high school or something than yeah, if it is a College or University, then I don't agree with complaining.
Depends on where you go to school... Complaining to college and/or university isnt a good idea. So I agree with you.

It was a complete massacre.
This has pretty much become a general pc discussion huh.
This has pretty much become a general pc discussion huh.
It is general discussion, I would change it but it's too long to fit in the title, So the banner will have to do for now.
