Debian: sudo apt-get install ssh CentOS / Fedora: sudo yum install openssh Merry christmas, you can now connect to it using PuTTY on your windows PC. [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] There's some illiteracy going on at both sides here
Isn't it openssh-server?
For those who don't know : Microworlds is some gay program where you 'l33t code' a turtle to draw graphics and shit.
Pardon my tardiness; I've been otherwise occupied. I remember that! It was actually a pretty fun program. Good way to teach kids programming. Of course, my school taught it in third grade (8-9 year olds). It would honestly suck to have to use if you're old enough to post here. I'm not sure who would think it's a good program for high-schoolers.

I never enjoyed it since my teacher gave me 1s (or F-'s) every time because I used functions instead of typing in every instruction n times. :smithicide: Good thing she left after 3 months. Before you say that I didn't follow the instructions, in every test she gave us a drawing, and we had to replicate that in Logo.
Nearly every office uses XP which is clunky and slow as fuck nowadays. As has been said before, mac's OS set is coded specifically for their own hardware which makes it perform better. It's not GREAT, but it's better than an average office PC anyday.
Because people are cheap fucks and skimp when it comes to hardware. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
I gave my friend TF2 for his birthday, and he got scammed 2 days later. He got a new TF2 and I gave him L4D2 and he loves it!
Hit him. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
Like few years ago they had this 12 year old kid shown on news who made like 5 websites with site maker stuff. They called him future of computers and shit like that
lol [editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
Pardon my tardiness; I've been otherwise occupied.
We're all fifteen. What the fuck 8-9 year olds!?
Yeah. I was using Microworlds at age 8. It's a good program for that age group. I remember making a few very, VERY rudimentary games in it. Of course, four years later I taught myself C++, and I never looked back.
No-one in my family uses IE, thank god. Though my dad is still using Server 08 r2 as his desktop, Also he replaced his monitor he smashed with the same one, He yelled at the warranty guys enough, I suppose.
What the? How long's it been since you done that? Not sure if it counts as illiteracy but one of my colleagues continually talks about 'RAM memory'. Am I a bad person for getting pissed off at that?

We have to do HTML in Notepad (on extra classes of course, since in our normal classes we do Word and PowerPoint).
I just tried logging onto the shitty ass school website that keeps all the student's data. It says that the only supported browsers are IE8 and Firefox3.5... I will be using a portable firefox to log onto it during school, any way to stop that message popping up? PAGE KING Some content: People at my school like skull candy, black ops, put gay stickers on their laptops and use facebook. Hahahahaha. I hate how I format my posts.
Ours says it only supports IE and FF but if you refresh you can access it just fine.
Ours says it only supports IE and FF but if you refresh you can access it just fine.
You can use it, it just has a message that pops up on each page. I ask again : How do I block it?

Wow I just logged onto my page, I can edit pretty much what ever I want. Good one, school. I wouldn't be suprised if I could change other students pages, or edit records and grades. Ok, this is some content, it shows illiteracy in both sides, felt like it was about time someone posted real content too. This was approximately in 2007, when I thought Alienware was the best brand to buy. I had just acquired for myself a prebuilt gaming computer, a Dell XPS 630i to be precise. It originally came with a q6600 and 8800GTs in SLI. I bought this for $1700. That's illiteracy on my side. Now, of course, the computer (specifically the GPU) started to break down after a year, and I contacted their support. I got 2 new 8800 GTs. It failed again after a couple of months. Each encounter with their support lasted about 4-5 hours each, usually with them just remote-controlling my computer, opening device manager and stuff, and not actually getting anything done. Now, the third time the GPU broke down, Dell thought that by sending me a better GPUs, it would magically rid my computer of any more future problems. So I was chatting with them, when they suddenly said, that they will send more replacement GPUs, and out of nowhere, they said that they're going to send me 2 GTX 280s. I just thought that it was just a mistake. But lo and behold, about two weeks later, there it was, 2 GTX 280s, just about doubled my performance. (This was when GTX 280s cost $500 each, felt like such a winner) ~end~

My architecture/Revit teacher is really smart, but he acts like an asshole sometimes. I asked him what he thought about Linux, because he had never heard of it he said that it must be a "system for hackers." I then pointed out that the schools server was running Ubuntu. :smug:

It's like a car having 'Slow as shit lol' and 'Really fast' levels on it's speedometer.
I CAN STILL HEAR THE FUCKING SCREAMS OH GOD!
I love that sound.

Or can I? Wait it's $40... Marketing is annoying sometimes.
Beepbeepboopdinnndindndndneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeigh Why the fuck does it do that?
It's a form of mind control, try being exposed to it for too long.
