We are learning Word by 1996 books, they even have a Windows 3.1 tutorial.
All my processes use 0 cpu when System idle process uses 99 cpu and is making many programs run slowly. It even take 5 minutes to reboot back to the login menu.

Really though, what an asshole, Tobba tries to stand up for him and he takes it as the worst fucking insult hes ever heard. I would also like to know from gman if you can even do anything close to a RAT in ASM.
I am seriously surprised Mutex was not banned for flaming.
hi i don't come in this thread often what is 42.zip
A 42 terabyte (or petabyte) blank file compressed into multiple layers of archives used for crashing antiviruses
hi i don't come in this thread often what is 42.zip
From Wikipedia: "One example of a Zip bomb was the file "42.zip" which was 42 kilobytes of compressed data, containing five layers of nested zip files in sets of 16, each bottom layer archive containing a 4.3 gigabyte (4 294 967 295 bytes; ~ 3.99 GiB) file for a total of 4.5 petabytes (4 503 599 626 321 920 bytes; ~ 3.99 PiB) of uncompressed data. [1] This file is still available for download on various websites across the internet."

One of our IT got new PC's today (Unfortunatly not the tech ones) They have Vista Installed, Well..... Did :saddowns: I liked XP but for fuck sake move on
I liked XP but for fuck sake move on
I really don't see why people treat XP like this magnificent OS that nothing will ever top. Its just a decade old operating system that was pretty good with a horrible default theme.
E-mailed my tech department asking them ever-so gently why they aren't using a Linux server. Included a rather large (10+) itemized list of why they should switch. Reply (summarized) was that they get Microsoft Forefront TMG for free because of their HP partnership, and if they don't use TMG then they lose the Microsoft Partnership (which means no free Windows, Office, or MS software, boohoo). They sent the text of the contract that MS and the college have (wish I could link it, but they said not to distribute that outside campus intranet) I'm about to send a reply finding a rather glaringly obvious loophole in the contract (leave the TMG server running but use it for file hosting and use Linux for proxy servers). Think I should? [editline]13th January 2011[/editline] 2 posts away from 2000. I have NO life.
I'm 50 away from 6,000

thx bro
I don't know if this is a common error with the program or not, but I just got this I'm pretty sure that's an average too by the way.
WERE GONNA LOSE HER! *charges pads*
My science teacher did this: Teacher: I thought I turned this computer off. I'll try again Teacher then hits shutdown, then selects shutdown & restart, instead of the default shutdown & powerdown

So I came so close to successfully getting around the Novell web blocks. Fucking M86 server. So anyways, our BIOS screens in school flash for half a second. I wanted to test something. We deduced F9 is the key to open the boot menu, so I plugged in a ChromeOS "Flow" USB stick, and hammered F9. I selected the USB hard drive and it booted. Normal login info, etc. Oh, look, what happened to having to verify before accessing the schools network. So, I'm sitting at the ChromeOS home screen, and decide, fuck it, we've gotten this far, they can't remote control me now and if they attempt to wipe the hard drive, it will wipe the Novell shit off of this computer. So, I go to youtube. M86 server block. Refresh: YouTube Logo and a search bar. Samething basically with Facebook, except I was able to log in. We are going to attempt to run a LiveCD tomorrow and connect remotely to my computer at home for internet. For the past couple weeks we've been experimenting with ways to get around the block. Besides a phone tether, this is so far our only other successful attempt. I felt like a boss.

I use TeamViewer from my laptop to my home computer to bypass the filters at school :v: [editline]13th January 2011[/editline] Amusingly, it's actually faster to browse the web that way than going straight to Facepunch or whatever on the school's internet.
I also use teamviewer but on my iPod touch. .EXE files are blocked on the school computers.
Considering opening 42.zip on a bunch of computers in school next year on the last day.
Look what appeared in my mailbox today. I see Facepunch have quite a sense of humor. I wonder why schools decide to go through that much shit, installing some simple thing like Ubuntu would make it impossible for dumbasses to "delete system32 and go faster hurr" because most of them can't rm -rf / and all the virii-filled flash drives wouldn't harm anything. There would be some problems with training the staff and teachers to use it though. Also, our techs forgot to block nimp.org, so tempting even though DeepFreeze will make everything fine after rebooting :saddowns:.
I've sent the e-mail (blasted Exchange server...went down for about 2 hours and REFUSED to allow Outlook to start). Shouldn't be long for a reply.
It's pretty simple to use if there's an X server running. While the sorting of the menus might take some getting used to, and the filesystem layout is different, there's really no additional training needed unless you're the IT people.
I have some un-content to show you. At this education place I go to, they recently acquired a custom built i7 system w/ 8GB of ram, and some kind of high end nvidia card (unsure of model). Best bit? It has W7 home premium installed on it, along with firefox and Photoshop CS4 (because it's a photography course I'm doing). Furthermore, I do some guitar work at a school I used to go to. 2 years ago they had systems and laptops with Windows XP. I asked them at that time why they hadn't upgraded to Vista. They said they were waiting for Windows 7. Sure enough, I return 2 years later and they kept to their word. Laptops have windows 7 and they replaced the computers with newer ones, also containing 7. I think it's home premium. Oh yeah, towards the end of my term at that school, they got about 7-10 iMacs. I'm not sure why, or if they still have them.
