CPU: 109F under load. On a Prebuilt! (wouldhavebuiltmyownifthiswasn'tanemergencyreplacement) I dunno about my graphics card, some integrated ATi shit so I don't get temps. (though it is good integrated shit, can play games pretty good) [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Also am I weird if I don't like reading temps in C?
Fahrenheit doesn't make any sense, so yes
I don't see how it doesn't make any sense. Care to explain?
Apparently cleaning the fan helped. I was at 76 degrees after setting off over 10000 TNT on MC.
And my parents won't buy me parts for a PC. It's either the sound system for my car or a new PC. Looks like I'm getting a job soon!
Get the sound system and the job. Roll up to work with Pendulum on full.
I don't see how it doesn't make any sense. Care to explain?
0 degrees Celsius = The point where water would freeze 100 degrees Celsius = The point where water would boil Fahrenheit = Wat
Mine's a GTX 480 and it idles at 69 degrees :ohdear:
0 degrees Celsius = The point where water would freeze 100 degrees Celsius = The point where water would boil Fahrenheit = Wat
Wikipedia quote! Yay!
According to an article Fahrenheit wrote in 1724,[6] he based his scale on two reference points of temperature.[7] The zero point is determined by placing the thermometer in brine: he used a mixture of ice, water, and ammonium chloride, a salt. This is a frigorific mixture which automatically stabilizes its temperature at 0 °F. (A mixture of ice and water also stabilizes, either freezing or melting at 32 °F though Fahrenheit did not use this point in defining his temperature scale). The second point, 100 degrees, was the level of the liquid in the thermometer when held in the mouth or under the armpit of his wife — subsequent refinements. Fahrenheit noted that, using this scale, water boils at about 210 degrees.[7]
Celsius for the win.
I really wish I was raised with the Metric System, the imperial system sucks
I really wish I was raised with the Metric System, the imperial system sucks
It's damn easy to learn, it's never too late to learn it :buddy:
It's damn easy to learn, it's never too late to learn it :buddy:
Conversion is the easiest part, 10mm = 1cm 100cm = 1m 1000m = 1km
Mine's a GTX 480 and it idles at 69 degrees :ohdear:
Mine does the same thing, sometimes even a few degrees above 70.
People say it's loud, I can't really tell over the sound of my case fan going GKGKKGKGKGKGGGKGKGKGKGGKGKGKKKKG
People say it's loud, I can't really tell over the sound of my case fan going GKGKKGKGKGKGGGKGKGKGKGGKGKGKKKKG
I don't think it's that loud, but a friend of mine was kind of frightened by the noise when he came over. Guess I've gotten used to it.
That's nothing, my GPU idles at 78C and loads at 83C. God bless the 4870
Macbook Pro so mine idles at 70c and goes to 99 under load. I love my computer, it's so hot :3: [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] For comparison the GTX 460 cyclone in my desktop idles at 30c and goes to 55c under MSI Kombustor. And that's with a modest overclock :v:
Semi content. Saw on the side of the road a van, Amber lights on, nearby some kind of airconned green box thing. On the side of the van was the company name (something relating to fibre optics) and the company email. It was somethingfibrerelated@aol.com

It's a shame 95% of the kids at my school use AOL or Yahoo for their email, it's disgusting.
Most people (girls) at my school use Hotmail addresses One friend of mine used to, I converted him to gmail after showing him that all his emails have ads stuck on them
Most people (girls) at my school use Hotmail addresses One friend of mine used to, I converted him to gmail after showing him that all his emails have ads stuck on them
Yeah, same reason I switched. Gmail also just seems much faster, plus made by our Google overlords, it is great.
Oh yeah, and it also shows that most girls don't even use email, since I had to tell some girl that she was sending suprise.exe (Malware) to people over and over [editline]18th January 2011[/editline] Mergebreaker
The coder of suprise.exe cannot spell very good.
The coder of suprise.exe cannot spell very good.
The quoted poster cannot use grammar very well.
The quoted poster cannot use grammar very well.
wat u talkin bout i grammer grate :downs:
I have Gmail, and email addresses on two of my domains.
The 400 Series cards always run hot and noisy.
The 400 Series cards always run hot and noisy.
you really want attention huh
The 400 Series cards always run hot and noisy.
See above on my GTX 460 Cyclone. I can barely hear it over my case fans.
I have hotmail but I have too many things connected to it so I can't just change, I already have a gmail account but the hotmail account is my main mail account which never ever recieves any mail except for that occasional newsletter or notification from different websites.
