As you see I have succesfully installed Ubuntu. Now stop arguing about how I cannot install it, for the evidence is right here.
And you still misspelled successfully.

Alternatively, Arch Linux.
*Student in Class points to a Mac* "What computer is that?" Me: "Mac Book Pro." Student: "No, its a Laptop"
This guy in my class thinks that free anti-virus programs are bad. Norton was better, because it actually had money to pay their programmers, which avast! or AVG doesn't have. Apparently.

Someone got a link to fatfatfattys thread about ubuntu?
http://erikvduyn.chipin.com/a-title-for-fatfatfatty You know you wanna do it!
I didn't buy my title :smug:

a guy today told me he had a water cooled laptop that he built himself for $200 the first half is inexcusable. the second half would make a lot more sense if he was some little kid who had no sense of how much a dollar is worth, but this was a grown man claiming this.
Today my web teacher was talking about operating systems. She said that "the only two operating systems for PC are Windows and Microsoft Office." We then watched that one video the Chrome team made about how people don't know the difference between a browser and search engine. Afterward a girl still didn't understand and asked the person next to me what the difference was. He said that a browser connects to the internet and that everything else on the screen was the search engine. :sigh:
Oh god! I just remembered some content I heard a while ago. I was on Ventrilo with this guy, he was hosting the server and I complained about how fucking laggy it was. He told me it was my connection. I said my connection was fine and probably even better than his. At this point he got angry and said he had a 100 Mbps connection and how it's able to host a hundred ventrilo servers and all that shit. At this point, I ask him where the fuck he'd get a 100 Mbps connection, he told me it was from Shaw. He sent me a link to their website and I looked at the plans they had, 7 Mbps was their maximum at the time. I told him this and he sent me a link to a router which could handle 100 Mbps :v: I lol'd so much while he just raged at how "dumb" I was. My steam friends list is filled with idiots :buddy:
Now that you mention it...
I chipped in $10 :buddy: Also your paypal is in German :colbert:
At one point, I'd have a flood of people asking me how to fix their internet, because it kept dropping from 54Mbit/s to something lower. They didn't understand the LAN connection wasn't their actual internet connection. Gotta love those people :v:
it can't be edited since the thread is locked
Huh? I meant instead of http://bit.ly/fafypl use yourdoimain.com/aredirecttothepostsothatitcanbechangedinthefutureifneedbe bitly could remove the link, or facepunch could change how thread links work or something, or maybe you'll want to change it to something even stupider he does in the future!
nah, unless someone can assure me their site will be around longer than the thread
When this one kid was swaggering around my Computer Programming class, saying that he is now a game developer and that he made a game and that he could skip this class and move on to a college for game development. (He was dead serious :crossarms:). I was going to be polite and asked him if he could present his game. He took out a Flash Drive, plugged it into the computer and started whining that his game wouldn't work. He was trying to open a Game Maker Project File on a computer that didn't have Game Maker. I pointed this out to him and he just yelled at me that I didn't know what I was talking about and blamed the computer for being a Mac. I then asked him if he could tell me the difference between the Stack and the Heap. Or the difference between public and private members in a class. He told me to stop being an asshole and that I would never be as smart (programming wise) as him. At this point I was pretty pissed, and told him that I was much more intelligent when It came to programming, that Game Maker was a stupid program for young kids and wasn't programming, and that I was willing to bet that he had a low grade in this class. He shut up, and I walked back to my computer. The kicker? He asked me the next day if I could explain to him what "int" in "int main()" meant.

Not sure if it would be worth paying all that money to upgrade and then be capped though...
Their upload speed is fucking shit for that money. This is what it should be: Also expect the upload to be 75 Mbps.
I fucking hate bandwidth caps. I'm paranoid about getting over them, it's like my HDD space OCD. If my free space drops below 300 GB, I format. At least my mom managed to convince Bell to give us a 100 GB/month cap when she threatened to switch providers :v: [editline]...[/editline] Oh, 298 GB of free space, time to grab my Windows install disk :buddy:
If my free space drops below 300 GB, I format.
Oh, if I only had your hard drive... I have a 250GB hard drive. That's pretty much EVERYTHING, right there. I do have a 250GB external as well, but much of that is backups, since it's a massive pain to get that drive connected and working. And my "file server" is a 20GB machine, storing mainly my critically-important files for triple redundancy.
I choked when I saw those prices. They're three times Swedish prices at best, and they're STILL capped?
Read: Porn
Well, my porn is stored on there, but that's only 2GB or so. Most of it's files that I consider irreplaceable.
