Ah I'm going to be getting the Sprint one, dunno how much they've put on it if they've put anything. Hoping S-OFF will be out for all of em soon and someone makes a rom that adds in Software Buttons, as the bottom bezzle button area doesn't seem to big it'd be nice to have some onscreen buttons instead

It's easy to do on screen buttons, but I just want to see if the HTC logo can be made into a button. I haven't actually pressed it, but I still want more buttons to work with.
Yeah I remember seeing that XDA thread where someone says it was possible, it'll be interesting to see what comes out of it.
I just really have to say that this thing is just beautiful. Even the case it came with (double dip something) is really nicely designed.
Aw man, my one won't arrive until like the 24th. I'm jealous D:
Yeah it looks amazing, one of the most beautiful phones on the market right now for sure. One of the only things that is a little iffy for me though is the camera as it seems a little hit or miss, but I don't take pictures with my phone very often anyways

Basically, there's exactly one trick to it. Turn on night mode if you don't want to use flash and things aren't moving fast. You will be blown away by the quality.

Also it is so weird to look at the camera while you do a light tremor in the hands, you can see the lens moving around to keep pointed straight at you.
Edit: Wow. I just understood the point of the weird offset usb port. It's to make it easier to type in one landscape orientation.
I know, but this is unheard of for me. To put things in perspective, I would force the 8X to take half second exposure times and it still can't capture anything near the kind of light that this thing is taking in. The 8X would look like it's around night time, the One looks like it's afternoon/dusk. It also has less noise, so much less. It isn't even funny how much less grainy the photos are.

So far? I just fucking hate AT&T's fingers all over this stock ROM. I want to keep it locked until S-OFF comes out.
Ah fucking AT&T, who thought it would have been a good idea to add Contacts App that doesn't work.

Yeah, I just want to choke the people that keep fucking with the browser and shit. There is no value gained from it.

Rub it in D:

Careful, I've heard that it is still possible to get phones with dead pixels or significant gaps. If your market is just launching the phone now, the chances are greatly decreased, but those were issues in the earliest phones launched.
Also I dodged a fucking bullet, got my phone's unlock token before HTC closed it for the actual "launch" on 4/19.

What do you mean closed? Will it be back up again after the launch?
I'm afraid the Pebble will have a short lifetime, if basically everyone (Google, Samsung, even Apple) is developing smartwatch atm.

How much different can those be tbh?
well for one, I bet all of them will have better displays. Sure, that'll cut down battery life significantly, but will be much more pleasant to look at.
- Samsung will probably stuff whatever they can find into the device so you can use it for various activities like running (getting additional data from it etc).
- I can imagine Google's smartwatch would be very similar to Glass, with a "cheap as dirt" price point too.
All 3 will likely try to make it much more of an active device, rather than just a "notification display/song changer and watch".
Don't get me wrong, the Pebble looks awesome, I'm just not sure for how long.

Battery life is a huge issue. All they could fit in pebble is a 140mAh battery and a watch you have to charge more than once a day is something not even I would want, no matter how much you can do with it. It's just not practical at all. I mean, my s3's battery is larger than pebble itself :v:
if the watch will be able to last a day just like Glass apparently does, I'm ok with it.

If they could do that, i'd be awesome, but I'm already planning on getting glass if it doesn't cost too much so having a google watch as well would be a bit overkill imho.
Charging everything at once will be an issue though. Power strips everywhere!

Become one with Googles servers.
I can hear the servers at night. Whispering MAKE US WHOLE.
That isn't much of an issue at the moment since I don't have a desktop, saves me ~4 spots in my power strip :v:
I can forsee having to reroute most of the electricity in here to my room in the future.
OEMs should start bundling extension cords with electronics :v:

They would be wasting money, instead Monster cable will try to sell you gold plated extention cords
lol, electronic shops don't even bother putting those on the shelves over here.
The reason I think the pebble will stick around is the ease of third party development. Some of the hardware is designed to stay current into the future, and with the development engine they released (and the likely price of the google watch), I think devs will find it to be a cheap platform to develop on.
FUCK, my One is delayed until may 20th
