FYI, Kaabii doesn't like any screen (there's like two exceptions). He definitely knows what he's talking about, but if I may suggest, don't base your choice completely on his description.
(no offense Kaabii)
None taken. Really the only true way to know if you're okay with a display, as with most things, is to go see it yourself. I was just answering his question based on how the screen on it compares to an optimal one.
I just spent about 5 minutes thinking where's this weird reflection coming from.
Turns out it's the glass back of my Nexus 4 as I'm holding it.
...
I'm retarded.
Welp, didn't got past the first step of unlocking bootloader... Didn't properly turn it on into boot mode.
QHUSB-DLOAD issue. My One V doesn't boot up and when I connect it to PC it shows QHUSB_DLOAD hardware found.
looked around this issue and what I found here isn't really helpful since that fix is for linux only

AT LEAST I HAVE A BACKUP
Any help?
Anyone know how to increase battery life? Having my S3 die after being off of charge for 6 hours is killing me. I end with around 2 hours of on screen time, using WIFI throughout those 6 hours and sending around 200 text messages.
Hey, I just found this link. It's a great resource and could really do with being placed in the miscellaneous section of the links in the OP.

I just use AOSPA 3. It's the best of CM10 AOSP and Paranoid Android in one small bundle.
turns out people with iphones like shit themes as well

So yeah. I tried to turn it on into bootloader but now it won't boot up at all. It can't be that bad since I didn't do anything at all except press a button combination and no usb fastboot stuff. Any help to simply boot it?
Android > Ios
so I've had my asus transformer for some while now, but havent done anything cool with it. what are some common things that people do to tech out their android tablets? as a dev, i fill like im not fully utilizing its capability. i only use it for web browsing.

Run WIBU to get Ubuntu in your windows install as a dual boot, then run the utility. Unlimited.io is filled with a bunch of people that seem to be quite temperamental and regularly remove their tools from all sources so it will be very hard to find the right tool if they pull it.

Have you read my second post? I don't think the problem is that big to install linux. Maybe I could do something like "fastboot reboot" and it would work on Windows?

You're stuck in an emergency mode program that is contained in the SoC when fastboot and recovery have failed. You are one step away from JTAG, so if you don't want to fuck up your phone do things the right way.

holy shit, this is one amazing review (anandtech do amazing reviews all the time but the fact that even they with their stringent tests were amazed by the one is awesome)
you've all probably seen this though
Guys, this is gonna sound sketchy as fuck, but you all have seen me post about my friend who broke her S3 screen and bought a Nexus 4 and how she piggybacked my purchase of the Transformer Infinity?
Well, she hasn't been on her tablet in forever. She get herself locked out and the only internet she can connect to automatically is 5 hours away in out hometown.
She could get in with her google account, but it requires internet.
Is there a way she can bypass the lock screen? Like, through the PC or something?

Maybe use the Internet from her PC? She can't get in to connect to any networks is the problem.

She can try and see if there's a way to do internet pass-through over USB or she can try getting rid of the lockscreen via adb if she has usb debugging on.

I seriously doubt she has debugging enabled... not that kind of user. And i have a feeling Asus would be hesitant to help her...

It's a budget phone, did you expect a HD Screen?
By now you should be aware of Samsung's shotgun approach.
I'm aware of that, but that doesn't make it any less ridiculous. I need to see one in person so I can laugh at the screen.
it must be horiffic, kabbii's eyes might explode

Babel screenshots leak.
Does anyone know anything about any recent "smartphone hacker" thing? My stepdad just raved at me for like five minutes about it and it didn't make a whole lot of sense
probably something done over sms
