In other news, I just flashed PACman ROM onto my Nexus 4, and it's fucking incredible. I forgot how fun ROMing is.

I decided I'd get the key to unlock my One's bootloader from HTCDev before it was locked down, but I didn't want to unlock it yet so I shutdown from the fastboot menu instead of going through with the process. Now this happens:

I don't know if any of you remember, but last thread I asked for suggestions for a phone for my girlfriend and you all said the Nexus 4. She said that she didn't like the Nexus 4 one bit, so I didn't mention it ever since. She's just told me that she's getting the Nexus 4. My faith in her has been restored, a stock android experience has pleased her, praise the lord that is Google.

N7 is very likely happening if we're going by their last year releases.

Rumors about a new N7 also seem much more realistic (mostly the "qualcomm chip instead of tegra" bit).

Check device manager when you plug it in. If it enumerates as QHUSB_DLOAD you're fucked and your only hope is JTAG.

Oh, it's simple. It's because certain carriers are literally ruining it for everyone else because they want to be able to deny bootloader unlocks. These same carriers will require OEMs to tear out all debugging and engineering menus and all sorts of other bullshit that would never fly in other regions.

And I must say that even in daylight, the 8X can only get better results when I manually tune the shutter speed to lower ISO as much as possible. Otherwise it's a dead heat.
