Does anyone know whats up with the scrolling text in the android market? If you try scrolling horizontally on an app's description you can kind of scroll it up and down, but I can only do it a few pixles. What's the trick to it?
I can't see why all you guys like Chrome browser. I've tried all the browsers and the only ones that are both fast and functional in my experience are Boat Browser, Dolphin, Opera and stock. Chrome and Firefox are heaps slow and bloated and Maxthon runs services and shit in the background.
I love Chrome on my Nexus 4*. It's not the fastest, but it's more than alright at this stage, new updates focusing on improving UI/responsiveness etc. Plus with Google forking WebKit, hopefully the main focus will be platform optimization. And only mobile Chrome can perfectly sync with desktop Chrome, and Firefox on desktops still needs to get its shit together (well, Mozilla does, and they're slowly doing that). Now correct me if I'm wrong, but neither Opera nor Firefox have an easy, quick way to swipe between tabs like Chrome does. Just do a swipe from the edge and voila, you're in a new tab. No need to press buttons to access tab view (but you can still do that if you want). Haven't tested that on other browsers though. * Also, the speed increase in Chrome on my Nexus 4 is un-fucking-believable compared to the Galaxy S2. Most apps feel faster, but Chrome feels incredible.

I guess. I'm not a fan of overly complicated gestures, but this tab swiping is perfect for me.
The interface is fast, but the actual loading and rendering of pages is slow. Chrome is just slow all together.
Firefox seems pretty fast tbh, way better than chrome. Chrome for android is slowly improving but it's still behind the stock (JB) browser in terms of responsiveness which is just pathetic. If it wasn't for the chrome features, and that I can't get the stock browser on my N7, I'd not use it at all.
Yeah, that's a really poor argument from people who say that. If you can't do it, why not try finding people who can instead of up bad excuses? There's people who will even help with design for free (just on reddit there's someone like every three months)
CALLED IT http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1c3rxj/does_anyone_need_an_app_designed_or_is_there_an/
I like opera and sleipnir. Opera is fast and reliable but doesn't have a lot of features, while sleipnir got cool shit like swipe gestures and stuff like that.
i hate doing design for people because they half ass the implementation and it ends up looking shit and doesn't reflect me very well.
How often do you disown projects?
like stop half way through or pretend it never happened like a ginger step child? [editline]11th April 2013[/editline] also why are all kernel control apps soooooo expensive
also why are all kernel control apps soooooo expensive
Try Trickster MOD. Probably not as detailed as kernel specific apps, but it's pretty good. Kernel devs know that people have no idea how to write init.d scripts, so they're making good money on that. This could help if you wanna go the manual route: http://www.reddit.com/r/nexus4/comments/1atthk/kernel_tweaking_for_free_a_dummys_guide_to_initd/
One of my friends wanted a shot taking of him while he skated, so I obliged Turns out the SGS3 has a pretty good shutter speed, I was actually suprised it caught the board mid spin [T]http://i.imgur.com/isudnnr.jpg[/T]
you fucked up the horizon 0/10 terrible photo
It was gonna be cropped anyway, I just showed the original because the instagram version looked too hipster for me to even look at after I posted it [editline]11th April 2013[/editline] I didn't feel like performing an entire photo shoot at the skatepark with my phone i was busy gettin' down with my sick trix

You can easily get a shutter speed of 1/500 on this.
All I know is my HTC Desire Z had to be welded to a metal pole stuck in concrete before the photo wouldn't come out blurry because somebody breathed near it, so I'm pretty happy with the S3 camera :v:

I didn't really do that but that is probably the exact conditions it would need to not fuck up a photo [editline]11th April 2013[/editline] You couldn't actually take a photo holding it in your hand because it would come out a blurry mess
a metal pole stuck in concrete
Sounds like a penis analogy.
Is there an app that allows you to have 'clones' of you within a picture as a nice photo effect (multiplicity photography)? Preferably free.
Sounds like a penis analogy.
You have a very warped idea of sex
I didn't really do that but that is probably the exact conditions it would need to not fuck up a photo [editline]11th April 2013[/editline] You couldn't actually take a photo holding it in your hand because it would come out a blurry mess
what, that's stupid, try using different camera apps because if you're outside, it's either it's out of focus or the shutter speed is being retarded.
what, that's stupid, try using different camera apps because if you're outside, it's either it's out of focus or the shutter speed is being retarded.
I got rid of that piece of junk at christmas for £70 It wasn't worth using as a camera as the lens was made out of the worst glass ever, within 6 months it was scratched to hell from just having it in my pocket
held an HTC One today fucking beautiful, feels even better than the iphone, you can tell from just holding it that some serious engineering went into making it - reading anandtech's review only confirms it shame it's not gonna sell because HTC don't have samsung's marketing budget - my contract ends in may so I might pick one up if they're still selling them and HTC still exist as a company [editline]11th April 2013[/editline] seriously however you think it feels i the hand, it feels 10x better than that my s2 is seriously jealous right now
Sounds like a penis analogy.
Sounds like you want it to be a penis analogy. :v:

How do you get the new Play Store? Neither my Galaxy Nexus running CM10.1 or my completely stock Nexus 7 have got the update.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/04/09/download-completely-redesigned-latest-google-play-store-4-0-25/ Download the apk from here. It's the official google signed apk (otherwise it wouldn't let you update your current store). Future updates will download OTA or you can get the apk again.
