I have a bunch of old parts, such older RAM (DDR, DDR2, DDR3, and SODIMM DDR3), and a Pentium 4 CPU. I'm trying to get rid of the parts so I can get compatible newer parts to make a low-budget compact Linux server. Doubt anyone wants the old junk, but no harm in trying.
I am selling a 2015 ThinkPad T450s Ultrabook. i7 processor, 384GB SSD, 1080p IPS If you're expecting a brand new laptop, skip this post. else, read on: Held onto this for a while after getting it for a good deal locally. Figured I might test the waters to see if anybody would be interested in this and make a little on the side, otherwise I might just keep it for use as a secondary Linux machine when I don't want to use my other laptop. (This means the price is firm) This laptop has very minor signs of wear. the only signs of wear is a small crack in the corner of the laptop (see pics) and minor scratches on the lid. The battery has a clip that is broken so it is taped on. The rest of the laptop is in perfect condition. With the few imperfections I mentioned I'd say the laptop's condition is about 7.5/10. Again see pics to get a better feel for how well the condition is. Specs: i7 5600U 8GB RAM 256GB Samsung SSD + 128GB MyDigitalSSD M.2 SSD 1080p Non-Touch Matte IPS Display Dual batteries Fingerprint reader, webcam, backit keyboard Plenty of legacy/current I/O Existing warranty good until 8/12/18 pics: https://imgur.com/a/AdU5N Asking $600 shipped via PayPal
I'm currently selling an original 3DS XL, New Super Mario Bros. 2 edition. This particular one has homebrew preinstalled, specifically Arm9loaderhax, and Luma3DS for the CFW. It also includes the 4GB SD card it came with. http://imgur.com/a/2hXLz As you can see from the images, it comes with a physical copy of Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It also comes with a digital copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2 Gold Edition, as is the case with this particular 3DS. Note that this game does not come preinstalled, but it can be redownloaded from the eShop for free, as shown in the album. As also seen in the album, it comes with 9.2 firmware on sysnand, while, at the time of writing, the emunand is fully updated to 11.1.0-34. Asking $140 shipped via Paypal, but I'm open to other offers. I'm also looking for a tablet, so if anyone has one they're willing to trade for this, message me. EDIT: It's been sold.

Hello fellow nerds, I am in need of something along the lines of an R9 270/670/760/7970 type deal. Willing to pay mediocre dollar for it.
I have a Redmi Note 3 Pro whose screen I broke and replaced myself. The replacement has a bad digitizer but it still works in the academic sense if you're very patient. I'm thinking about selling it, would anybody be willing to buy it for like $30? If you're willing to take a gamble and are willing to look at videos that are entirely in Hindi like I did maybe you can buy a screen and attempt a second replacement, something I gave up on.
Sure.
I'll give it a week or two and if everything is working with my new phone and I still think it's a good idea I'll contact you.

Got a i7-3720QM for sale, pics here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/162298010040 Works fine, runs too hot for my Elitebook 8470w, make sure you already have a 45W CPU or the cooling headroom for it. Poops all over the AMD desktop lineup when on AC and turboing $100 for facepunchers if you want it, make an offer on the ebay listing and include your FP name in the note edit: sold

Thank you!

Does anybody have a cheap LGA 1150 motherboard? If it could overclock that'd be cool. I have a Intel Pentium G3258 gathering dust and I want to see what it can do.
I have a dead R9 280, tried the oven trick with no success. If you pay for shipping it's yours.

I don't want any cookies from you anytime soon.
To melt the solder in case it's a solder connection issue. The heat expands the PCB to the point that it reconnects the broken joint temporarily.
Careful you might attract Louis Rossmann who will give you a lecture on why the GPU oven trick does not work.
Also it's like, not very safe chemically speaking.
Pretty damn sure ovens get hotter than 188 degrees mate.
GPU baking guides have you set your oven to 375°F which is lower than the melting point of RoHS compliant solder used in modern GPU's
I have a 8600 GT. Only used like once or twice. Doesn't have any branding on it so I have no idea who makes it. Still has the new GPU smell after like 5 yrs
Wrong thread
Kaby Lake is coming out soon but looks to be a bust and Ryzen is coming out soonish which could be anything at this points. Up to you. Probably belongs more in the PC building thread but of also buy that mobo off you :v:
If Ryzen brings good temps/perf in the ITX front, I will consider selling my current mobo and processor. What's a good price for an i3-6100? It'd be $90 but that new HT Pentium is kinda cutting that plan in half.
Pretty damn sure ovens get hotter than 188 degrees mate.
60/40 leaded solder melts about 650F (343C) and ROHS solder melts about 715F (379C). Your easy bake oven isn't going to get anywhere near that hot. What the levels of heat that the idiot "toss yer gpu in the oven" guides will do is make all existing solder connections far more brittle and prone to fracture because it burns off the fluxes left in the solder. ROHS solder is already very brittle to begin with, exposing it to high levels of heat for extended periods of time literally makes it crumble if any mechanical stress is placed on it. The heat also doesn't do electrolytic caps any favors, either killing them outright by boiling the electrolyte or causing them to go high ESR and fail. The RAM is the same story, the chips don't tolerate high temperatures for extended periods of time. But I hope you like eating solder flux every time you use your oven to make food now, because the stuff that burned off is now stuck to the inside of your oven. And that shit is toxic, which is why we have fume extractors when we solder, so we don't inhale or ingest it.
Anyone got a 100+ GB 3.5" IDE HDD they'd let go of for a reasonable price? I also have some PS2 development hardware for sale if anyone's interested.
