It just looks so untouched, most default apps are in the dock and you haven't changed anything except the wallpaper.

Well many people seem to judge mac users on how many 'useful' apps they have, you're right though, I haven't done much on there except install office, photoshop, firefox, messenger, NTFS-3GS to be able to write on my NTFS windows partition and steermouse so I have proper mouse acceleration curves.
But I don't do much more than word or browsing the net on OS X with the killer 7 1/2 hour battery life. I use Vista for 3ds Max and a wonderful 4 hour battery life, lol.

Matter of opinion, I like feeling at home with my workspace on both OS X and Vista, helps productivity.
I think Window 7 looks way better on small screen, and OS X looks better on bigger screens.
