I'll always take Chrome, Firefox and even Opera over IE, even though I hate it's UI. IE still, even with 8, refuses to use the standards W3 has set, and prefers their own. This means that web developers often have to take multiple design strategies into account. So it's not just biased fanboyism.
Note that I've used IE for about 4 years before switching.

I dunno about your system, but on mine IE8 uses about the same amount of resources as Firefox does. There's nothing at all wrong with IE. The only reason I use Firefox is that I like all my addons and such.

I use chrome. Also personally it just runs faster that ie on my computer. Also I do use ie sometimes, when the website doesn't work in chrome.

I don't like IE8 because I find it to be significantly slower than Firefox, especially on less powerful computers. Other than that it's ok.

I still can't help but think the RAM meter looks off-centre, though.

According to Toms Hardware, its going to be released onto Vista once they Release SP3. They are trying to push people to buy Windows 7.
Nah it's already in an KBupdate.
And IE8 is fine, I Just had to turn of that recommended websites feature or whatever it was, to get rid of the only pet peeve I've had with it and that was it opening new tabs agonizingly slowly.
