Not more than windows computers. I've always used windows/linux and recently switched to mac because it's way easier to use.
I use windows for gaming sometimes tough, but I don't require it.

I wasn't going to have this argument, but you asked foir it.
now first off, the price. this cannot be ignored. they are way more expensive than they should be, apple has to be making at least %500 profit on those, not to mention many simply can't afford it. then theres upgrade-ability. if you want to add to anything but a mac pro(and even then it can be difficult) you have to either a) throw it out the window and drop 2k on another or b) pay apple to do shit for you. and it's expensive to do so. looks. this is a matter of opinion, but I think, with the exception of the mbp, macs are ugly. and osx is ugly no matter what machine you put it on. and about osx, sorry for not being willing to pay a couple grand for BSD with a different ui. not to mention it's more locked down than any other os. I also find it impossible to work with.
and unibaody, while it looks nice, takes away too much for it to be worth that much.
then theres the company, apple. I'm going to split this into a few parts:
ads:
their ads are total bullshit. they manipulate statistics and state opinion as fact, and take advantage of a society that is slowly becoming idiocratic by representing products with people. they take advantage of idiots because macs are designed for idiots and are really only appealing to idiots.
steve:
steve is an asshole. he surrounds himself with brilliant engineers and takes all the credit. really, when you hear about an apple product, what do you hear? "Steve gave us this, Steve gave us that" you never hear about the people that do the real work, the true creative work. I don't normally like to wish death on others, but in Steve's case I may make an exception.
"innovation:"
there is no innovation. not there anyway.
and their fans are just fucking insane. Steve could take a shit in a shiny aluminum box, sell it for $600, and people would buy it.
the only product form apple that is even close to being ok is the MBP, simply because it is the best hardware wise, but that is changing very quickly.
and theres alot more against them that I can't quite remember right now.
^You are missing the point. Apple sell a solution, not a computer. And while the computer inside my MBP is not worth £800, the overall product is. A full sized laptop with 5-7 hour battery life with wifi that is lighter, thinner, looks nicer and is just flat out a better piece of design than anything else out there makes it worth the £800.
