Battery life is key, I don't know what is different but with every energy saving option enabled on Vista on my MBP 17" Uni-body (very efficient battery) it only nets me 3.5 hours of full brightness use, while OSX gets me 6 hours doing the same tasks at the same brightness.
Also %10 of home computers are now running OSX, so you can't tell me there isn't incentive to hack it, especially since so many people want to mar the OS's reputation.

Uh no. Hackers will always go for the 80% which is to my knowledge Microsoft's current hold on the OS market. 10% isn't shit compared to Microsoft's numbers.
