Around 30 on XP, but I've got several systems that run virtually all the time. None with Windows 7 so far, just goes black with a crash. Pre-XP, I can't even apply a number.
I have had 2. One on my old Windows 95 (I was like 3 or 4) and then one back in January, killed my gateway
None on Vista as I can recall. A handful on XP when my GPU started dying. On Windows 98: at least once a day.
none, i think there's something wrong.
Back in the badcaps days of 2003 I would get one at least once a day, especially if I docked my iPod. The draw over the firewire port eliminated all stability. Now however it's very uncommon for me to get one. The last one I ever saw was eight months ago when I tried the command "make hairball" in a Half-Life 2 console when I was trying Windows 7 RC. I couldn't believe it when the system threw a stop error and then did a hard reset.
Like 50 when I was using Windows 98. Shit sucks. 0 with Windows XP.
0 In my time
A lot. But since I started using Windows 7, 1.
None with Windows 7, a bunch of black screens of death with Vista (bad mobo drivers I think), a few with XP (mostly from bad graphics drivers).
In the last 10 years, less than 5 that I can count.
I'd say 4-5, most recently I got pissed at lag, kicked the tower and it BSOD'd. My friend next to me watching the tube burst out laughing
I had 2 on my last pc. On my current one that I've had for about a year, I've had no BSOD's yet.
One with win7 (while flashing my router's firmware) I'd say about 20-25 since I started using computers.. Win95/98 liked to BSOD a lot.
once, trying to remove software without a exe
Ever since I installed Windows 7 (about a year ago), I have never gotten the BSOD
At least 50-60 times since I've started using computers, about a third under Windows 98SE, 3-4 times under Windows XP (on my shitty laptop), and the rest on various versions of Vista, every single one of those were due to unstable overclocks. Never had a BSoD from drivers or software under Vista, ever. :)
About 3 in my entire life.
None with my new pc, which is 6 months old or so, about 5 with my old one.
Thrice.
About once a fortnight
A few occasionally. I had a bad hard drive with Vista that would BSOD on start-up occasionally. Changed that shit before it got serious. None with 7. Throughout my life I would say I've probably only had some 20-30 BSOD.
I don't know, it was probably more than 100. I bought the computer i'm writing this on about two and a half years ago. For the first two months it worked flawlessly, then i started getting BSODs several times a day, and it became very unstable in general. It was driving me crazy because it just went on for more than a month, and i almost jumped on the Vista hate bandwagon (i've had Vista on it since i got it). In the end it turned out it was a ram problem, i only had to raise the ram voltage for 0.05V and all problems disappeared, in fact the ram still works nicely. Since then i've gotten around 5-10 of them, they happened because i was fucking around with overclocking and other stuff.
Including my windows collection (DOS 6.22 to 7) and including all the shittops i was on at school and including the PCS i have here around 42-43, i never really counted.
0 since '06. [editline]08:48PM[/editline] Maybe '07, I don't recall correctly.
30 or so times with Vista, fine now though.
2-5 times a day. I have a fan problem, so it gets shitty hot. So hot I cooked this flap of dead skin on my finger on it.
over 30 since I got this computer. mostly from my crappy hard drive.
over 30 since I got this computer. mostly from my crappy hard drive.
I am guessing that you might have an alienware from your avatar.
At least 100 with Windows 95 1 with XP install #1 1 with XP install #2 0 with XP install #3 0 with Se7en 0 with XP install #4
No one since my old computer that had Windows 98. Bear in mind that that's a long time ago.
