Get a RAT mouse, far better than any of Razer's mice.
Razer's keyboards are decent if you like that type of keys, though a bit overpriced.

He made a point about Razer being overpriced, I'd say that's right...

Removable Number pad is amazing
Truly astonishing function, a real life saver.
I use a Razer Lycosa (keyboard) and a Logitech G500 (mouse). I like them a lot though my only issue with the keyboard would probably be the fact that sometimes the Media stuff goes nuts by pretty much raping the Next Song button on winamp :v: and I dunno how to fix it

IBM Model M
Logitech G500
Great combo.
Lycosa is junk, R.A.T is junk, G15 isn't worth the money but its quite alright despite being rubber dome
Personal opinion can't be "wrong"
Branding something as a personal opinion doesn't automatically mean that it can't be wrong.
I'm so sick of people doing this.

The keys don't last very long though (my spacebar and Osu keys are close to failing).
The G110 is better as far as rubber dome keyboards go in terms of the general feel of keys.
Also I find rubber dome to be better for gaming, since you can half press keys. (Yes I've tried mechanical, great for typing and all.)

what does half pressing keys have to do with anything
The keys don't last very long though (my spacebar and Osu keys are close to failing).

I don't understand your point. Half pressing the keys is only relevant for typing as some switches can be tactile and reduces typing fatigue.
The keys don't last very long though (my spacebar and Osu keys are)
I agree, I've gone through z+x, c+v, and am now on n+m :v:
i removed my spacebar completely, as i got a second keyboard for typing
The main gripe that I have with the BW is that it only has 3 key rollover. I mean, it's not that big of a deal, but it's kind of important considering it's supposed to be a 'gaming' keyboard.
That is, unless they have fixed it.
I think they optimized the WASD keys and the surrounding area for key rollover. I guess it's cheaper to do that than make the whole keyboard have no key rollover.

no key roll over lol that would suck
that's not what NKRO means
I use the Logitech Wave:

It seems to me that a lot of the 'gaming' keyboard market is bullshit and gimmicks. The actual improvement you are going to get in gaming performance between this and a $200 gaming keyboard is next to nothing.
The Wave is sturdy and comfortable. I don't need anything else.
For a mouse I use the MX518. I think the gaming mouse market has a little more justification. I find the side buttons are wonderful.
EDIT: But don't buy into the whole really high dpi = super leet accuracy crap.
I agree, I've gone through z+x, c+v, and am now on n+m :v:
Lol, also you should give s+d a try - comfortable as fuck if you're used to WASD.
only the center of the keyboard and bottom row works, i spilled soda over it one time to many :j:
The deathadder is the best mouse I've ever used, I highly recommend it
Just bought a BlackWidow a few hours ago. So now my setup is G13 for gaming. Blackwidow for regular usage and typing of course. Logitech G700 for the mouse.
Personal opinion can't be "wrong"
how is saying the RAT is better than any Razer mouse opinion?
hardware capability happens to be a constant
"He doesn't like what I like, he must be WRONG!"
I go off of benchmarks and reviews and in that aspect he is completely and utterly wrong, Razer's keyboards aren't really overpriced at all compared to their main competitor
the blackwidow is so expensive because it's mechanical, does any Logitech keyboard use mechanical switches? no, yet they're more expensive
but if his entire basis for "RAT > razer mice" is comfort or whatever then he's still wrong because that isn't the only defining point of whether one mouse is better than another, and if it is for him then he's an idiot
Personal preference varies. Just because something's overpriced doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to like it.
I'm defending Razer
This is exactly the shit that I was talking about. Especially for people who use their computer a lot, let them get what they want.
let them get what they want even if what they're getting isn't the best for their situation/money whether they know it or not? ok lets all just make completely blind purchases and be fucking retards
Who actually uses numpad?
What the fuck.
I think I am leaning MX815 and a mechanical Keyboard
You're a raging idiot.
While the Deathadder is of course good, I just swapped it out for the SteelSeries Ikari laser and I love it. I'm sure I'll get a few disagrees but a lot of it is preference. It's comfy, on-the-fly CPI (or DPI) switcher is extremely handy too. Also goes great with the SteelSeries QcK large mousepad!
you shouldn't be switching your dpi
da > ikari
you shouldn't be switching your dpi
I have it set for 1400 when I'm browsing the internet, and 800 for when I'm in game. It's become so natural.
[editline]5th June 2011[/editline]
Most people said keep my Deathadder, I didn't listen. I don't regret my decision; I don't see what's so bad about the Ikari
I've been using my CM storm sentinel for quite time time, but the biggest deciding factor in my buying it is it's awesome price and the fact i have never see a mouse fit my hand so snugly.
the screen is gimmicky, but sometimes useful, considering i normally use it with 5600 DPI, but when playing any game as a sniper/against snipers i turn it down
