Ignore everything above and visit this site: http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/ Epic win.
This post is wrong in every way possible. System requirements lab is inaccurate as fuck.
i tested gmod on my old computer just for you and with a P4 1.8ghz 1gb of slow as fuck ram and a 6200gt, i got a whopping average of 20fps on all low at 1024x768
I used to play it on a 6200, was alright, I stuck with it for a good year. Before that I was using a 5200 and that ran it too.
I had a 6150LE. It makes me sad too. @OP. Yes!
I used to run gmos just fine on a 6600 215mb
I used to run gmod, quite laggy at times on a 4200 32mb :(
I run on high at 1680 X 1050 on a 7600. It's ok, but it lags in certain conditions so I'm upgrading soon. A 6200 should be ok. I used to have a 6600 and it ran ok enough on a 1024x768 resolution. I can't imagine it would be substantially different with a 6200.
I can play it on my old computer with a 5200 and 512mb of ram :v:
Same here, in fact, I still have that graphics card. Don't play Garry's Mod any more though.
I used to run Gmod on a 6600NT, after Orange Box, it was near impossible, the shit lagged even at the smallest stuff.
I played through the entire Orange Box on that 2.8 GHz P4, 512 MB RAM, Geforce FX 5200 machine I talked about earlier. Worked fine, though I had to watch some cutscenes on Youtube because of bugs.
At what fps?
0.2
my mum uses a desktop with a 6200 in it, after playing UT2004 on it for 20 minutes i took the side off to feel how hot it was my hand didnt look pretty after
I remember playing Gmod on my old 6200, and i remember using the flashlight shadows, lags like hell.
My dad's computer has one of those, and a 1 and a half gig of RAM, and I played Gmod on it, i could run on about and 800x600 resolution with full HDR and highest graphics, with about 20 fps. On 1280x1024 It had about 4 FPS, the resolution makes a big difference.
