I just don't see a reason in dropping it if it were possible to put some kind of load on it. If I had a gpu based renderer I would dedicate it to that (after buying a new card). I agree that it wouldn't be that drastic of an improvement, but I'd like to see smoother framerates for my settings. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, seeing as prices are always high on the newest technology which is what would really be worth buying in terms of performance increase. I'll probably get a blu-ray drive or a few games instead.

The Macro keys have some use if you like putting programs you use often on a single key. I use Winamp and Gyazo for now, but I'm planning on putting more programs on hotkeys. The media keys are a plus, but many many keyboards have them. An LCD screen on a keyboard is nothing but a gimmick, but it has its useful side. If you can get it without blowing a hole in your budget, I say get it. I've only ever used the G-Keys once and that was ages ago.

I just picked up a 64GB SSD (Sandforce controller) for my new boot drive for $100 at Micro Center. I also bought a 500GB 7200RPM 2.5" drive for my laptop on Newegg. Oh yeah, and an enclosure for my old laptop drive for $7.
