Isn't there a media player called Banshee that has iPod integration?

Yeah, but isn't it KDE?
Doesn't matter, you can run KDE applications even though you're running something else, it does suck if you're installing your first KDE application through since it has to download all the KDE libraries etc.
I love how much faster Linux upgrades Distro. I wish I switched from Windows when I still had XP.

I take that back, not the Windows part, but the upgrade speed.
Rhythmbox comes with ubuntu, doesn't that do ipod syncing?
I guess this is the right place to ask.
I'm trying to get Ubuntu on my Android phone using “chroot”.
There's this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=962023
It says that I can resize the image with "uec-resize-image", so I installed Ubuntu 10.10 in VirtualBox.
But I keep getting this:

What am I doing wrong? And if anyone is nice enough, could you please resize it for me? :buddy:
did you enable USB debugging on your android device?
Rhythmbox comes with ubuntu, doesn't that do ipod syncing?
Not the iPod touch. Atleast, not mine.
I am new to Linux, and I just installed Ubuntu on another pc, but it seems that I can't get it to boot into Ubuntu.

Any ideas on what to do?
I'm not even connecting my phone, the image is on my computer.
I tried upgrading to Ubuntu 11.4 Beta 1, couldn't log in, switched to Arch, couldn't do anything, and now I'm typing this on Fedora.

My Dad still rants about how much better Window$ is.
Just installed Linux Ubuntu 10.10 on my Virtualbox. Im now a proud member of the Linux community,
Install it on a non-virtual PC.

Keep asking him where you can download the latest copy of Windows' source code.
Preferably while giving the finger.
My fonts look really bad on Fedora now that I've installed Wine. How can I change them back?
[editline]12th April 2011[/editline]
Also, how can I install the Sun JRE? It always gives me a .bin file, even if I choose a .RPM.
I'm Gentooing AND Slackwar-ing in VM can I join the linux community?
No, Gentoo is lot Linux enough. :v:
Yep. Gentoo is more like FreeBSD but with the Linux kernel. :v:
[editline]12th April 2011[/editline]
Gentoo even has an option to use the FreeBSD kernel. I've never tried it though.

Install Linux from Scratch then you can join.
I actually thought about doing Linux from Scratch once.
I will never think about it ever again.
I'm running Linux mint right now. I love everything about it so far except for the package management. I guess I don't have the right repositories but whenever I try "apt-get install anythingthatineed" it always tells me that it can't find the package. Is there a repository for all of the scripts and programs that you can usually get with apt-get?
Synaptics package manager.
It ships with mint.

And now I'm going back to Ubuntu 10.10. Fedora is an annoying shit.

I'll post whenever I recover from the whole concept of installing an operating system from within a virtualized machine that is hosted on the machine that you want to install the operating system on.
Ok.

I've done that many times, it actually works quite well as long as you set up the partitions before.

I installed Arch that way. Works fine. v:v:v
Does the Ubuntu software center have the latest version of software?
Does the Ubuntu software center have the latest version of software?
Ubuntu repositories have a nasty tendence of keeping older versions of everything, but if you really need the latest version of something, you can search for a ppa in launchpad or download it from it's site and compile from source.
It downloads the same versions as doing an apt-get or using Synaptic, if that's what you're asking.
