How come whenever I run the AMD driver update, it keeps saying, "This did not install correctly"
I assume you're running it from steam.
Manually start up the installation as administrator. Install files are in Steam\steamapps\commons\amd something.
What, how can a video driver delete your Chrome extensions?
Same here, I haven't had any problems with any of the newer ATI drivers.
I have no fucking clue. Shit crashed like crazy after installing, I'd say thats what fucked it up.

Hmmmm, I noticed games crashed alot more then before.
These newest drivers mainly affected the 5000 series, along with the 4800x2's.
ATI really needs to make 10.10 really good >_>
How funny is this.
Just Cause 2 with glitched crossfire with 10.9 drivers = 20-50 FPS
Just Cause 2 with crossfire with 10.8 drivers = 40-70 FPS
Just Cause 2 with crossfire with 10.5 drivers = 50-90 FPS
Is this really possible?
yes
[editline]12:08PM[/editline]
I've had nothing but problems with ATI drivers since I switched (and yes, I am using Crossfire)
[editline]12:09PM[/editline]
it's so bad that in some games I get better framerates with CF disabled, and even if I'm getting lower framerates it feels smoother because I'm not having to deal with shitty ass microstuttering which causes 50 FPS to feel like 30
This is the reason I traded my 5870 for a GTX 465 >_>
No, just no. ATI cards are awesome, but the drivers are pain in the ass.
No, just no. ATI cards are awesome, but the drivers are pain in the ass.
nvidia cards are quite awesome too
ATI quality control is all over the place. Their drivers need serious work, so does their control panel for them (although that's not as important if you have ATT.)
I've always had some problems with ATI, oh well, I guess my next card is going to be NVidia. My last Nvidia card was Ti3000 or something.
I upgraded my drivers for my HD5770 with steam and i got no problems.

I've seen so many people say this but they've never given any reason as to why this particular card is a stupid buy.
I don't get it. Why is it so bad?
performs like shit, costs more than 460

460 is better for cheaper
Oh and another thing. AMD need to seriously rework CCC. The old design was so much better than this new one.
It's funny how it seems like most drivers were after thoughts, when they are a big thing.
I have never had any driver problems with my 4850 or 5850. :\
Latest? All of them are crap.
Nope.wmv

It seems that they cause more trouble if you have Crossfire like i do.
