Or as some of the users said and as the manufacturer intended....They're locked for a reason.
Alright, so as you may not know, this build is for my friend. It needs to get changed up a bit because he said he definitely wants the MX518 mouse, and he also said he needs speakers for it too.

Would he like to sacrifice some performance for a mouse he could get later? Speakers I can understand.
Sorry, I was away this weekend in New Hampshire for some snowboarding. I talked to him though, he said he'd be fine with any mouse as long as it wasn't a ball mouse, had the the forward/back buttons on the side and (if possible) the on-the-fly sensitivity changing buttons.
Aside from the fact that I don't like cooler master PSUs, that build seems to be very good for 815
coolermaster are fine, i have their Real Power 520W modular, very good
Alright I made quite a few changes to the build to fit the budget ($813 after rebates, tax, and shipping) so I'd appreciate it if you guys could give another look over. Thanks!

Alright I used that cooler and ram (which saved like $20, awesome), but what's wrong with the case I'm using now?
Alright I used that cooler and ram (which saved like $20, awesome), but what's wrong with the case I'm using now?
Cheaply built. AKA: Piece O' Shit. For cases stick with the following brands. -Cooler Master -Antec -Corsair -ThermalTake -Lian Li (Overpriced IMO, but still nice cases.)
Latest update with some additional fans.... this looks like it'll be the final build. http://i50.tinypic.com/vfcivc.jpg [editline]04:32PM[/editline] Ah okay I'll check out some other cases [editline]04:32PM[/editline] Although the one I have now has plenty of great reviews

Ghost: Yeah, on Newegg. Quantuam: I'm overclocking the CPU, and the GPU I have has a $20 rebate ($152 final price).

Alright, how's this look? http://i45.tinypic.com/2pz0g14.jpg $835 total, with $55 in rebates. This leaves a little room for improvement if you can see any.
https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=13675226 Swap the psu for this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031&cm_re=cm_500w-_-17-171-031-_-Product

Get a second hard drive, fool.
Get a second hard drive, fool.
Well the friend I'm building it for doesn't really own much media-wise. He just needs enough space for games, the OS, and some music, but nothing big.
don't forget about tax and shipping, which will add about another $120 or so
Ah, I should've specified. It's $835 dollars after all that, with an additional $55 of rebates, resulting in $780 final.
don't forget about tax and shipping, which will add about another $120 or so
No it won't. If you look at the picture (http://i45.tinypic.com/2pz0g14.jpg) you'll see that tax has already been factored in. And it's $50. If shipping was $120, there'd be something wrong.

Any pc I build has at least 2 hdd's; I don't like them coming back to me with a dead drive and no where to start but a windows cd and newegg order. Data replication, everyone should be doing it. EDIT:herp derp I'm so :downs: for keeping my data safe and secure :rolleye:
i was throwing tax and shipping together :[ didn't see it in that screen shot though. fuck leftyist link us to a public wishlist not a screen shot
It has to be in a cart because combos can't be put in wishlists, sorry =/
