I've also got two really old LaCie 1TB NAS boxes, and a 4.8TB Fibre-Channel NAS that I can't actually get to talk to anything. :saddowns:
bla bla bla two really old LaCie 1TB NAS boxes bla bla 4.8TB Fibre-Channel NAS bla bla get to talk to anything.
Are they running headless? If they are, can you plug a monitor in and a keyboard? We can probably help with your problem.
Added a couple network locations: "Pipboy Network Data Sector" is a folder named Network Data Sector located on my tablet (which is named Pipboy).
Are they running headless? If they are, can you plug a monitor in and a keyboard? We can probably help with your problem.
I should probably have been more clear, the LaCie NAS boxes work[ed] fine, but they were too slow to be useful, so I've repurposed one as a router. Gigabit ethernet accessing a 4*250GB IDE raid 0 array was good, but the 800MHz processor was anything but able to keep up. Nice mini-itx motherboards in them, at least. Anyways, the 4.8TB NAS is the issue, as I don't have drivers for it or my Fiber-channel card. I know the card is an emulex somethingorother, and I have the manual for the NAS [It's a NexStor 4700F Series], and I've even rigged up a serial cable and initialized arrays, but I can't seem to be able to do anything with it beyond that. There's probably a better place to discuss this without derailing this thread any further though, maybe we should dig up something like the old "Post your Server/Rack/Collection" thread, or I could make a new one.
