So not the $250 the thread title mentions?
You might be able to get a 22" IPS panel from Dell for about that much. Their professional series all come with pixel guarantees and have fairly good stands.
Alright there was a typo i can actually do 350.
LG M2762D-PM Glossy Black 27" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with TV Tuner 300 cd/m2 DC 50000:1

Haha thats the one i was just looking at. Thanks so much. Going to order it tomorrow.
Get an IPS please. Don't go for a TN panel when your budget doesn't require it.
Falubii is right. That LG panel is seriously overpriced for what it is.

It's worth pointing out that the LG 27" display isn't going to allow you to see any more than the 21.5" screen I just linked too. The Ultrasharp monitor I've linked too is of much better quality and price than the LG monitor.

So you lose 6 inches? Really?
Well, you see, Dell's UltraSharps have completely epic color. And viewing angles.
And I find that 27" clutters up my desk a lot.
Oh by only seeing 21.5" you are talking about the peripheral vision not the actual monitor. Also, yes I have heard that Dell's monitors are excellent.

Well I suggested that LG since it was the largest one for his budget, and OP was looking for size. I still think it is a decent monitor.

The size of the screen has no effect on how much you can see on the screen; resolution determines that. A 27" monitor just means you have to sit farther back to get a comfortable viewing angle.
Go to Office Depot and look around. I got my nice Viewsonic 22", 1920x1080 LED there, only $170 big ones.
