So I just found a white ALPS DFK-102 with Viglen branding. Switches are really dirty but they should clean up fine. Caps are thin ABS doubleshots.
Got a Poseidon Z for free from a friend
It's my first "gaming" keyboard and first mechanical keyboard. a little loud tho I might end up picking another one up. Any good quiet RGB keyboards that won't eat my wallet?

Get one of the really cheap Chinese OEM boards with Gateron/Kailh linears in it and get some decently thick PBT caps off of Ali. Just make sure you go for one with a standard layout so that getting caps for it is easy.
It'll come out cheaper and quieter than any big brand cherry board. Basically all the noise from non-clicky switches comes from the keycaps hitting the switch housings.
Welp, just ordered a WASD 104 with clears for work.

Got a Celeritas II w/ optical switches, the keyboard is actually pretty nice, wish they made a TKL or 60% version, also the switches pang if you bottom them out too hard which is kind of sad. Everything else is nice though. If anyone was interested in picking one up, I'll answer any questions.
Got myself a Corsair Strafe with MX Brown switches. Typing feels so nice hnnng. Should've committed for a mech keyboard earlier.

Update: I somehow ordered 2 but didn't even get a confirmation for the other. Oops.

It doesn't squeak, it pangs, but every key does that.
Board got in, was a bit worried about the colors but I think they turned out fine.

Thanks imgur for just cropping half the photo
I really like logitech's new switches tbh, they feel a bit like membrane but I feel like they are faster for typing

I tried them, didn't like them at all but that's just me. It felt so mushy.
If you're talking about the Romer-G switches, I tried them in Maplins today and they're horrible.
Then again, I found the MX Reds fairly horrible too. Guess I'm too used to clicky switches.
Yeah, those. But I love my MX red switches, so whatever.
Good impulse purchase? :v:

KBP boards are pretty good.

I prefer clicky switches too, but I feel like I can type faster with a romer-gs

So I put my ducky mini (browns) up on a swedish ebay type site for 1500SEK ($180~ USD) and someone snagged it nearly immediately. Makes me think that maybe I should have put it up for more :v:
Though I personally can't stand it because of the glossy keycaps and having to fn everything, and not having a numpad is a dealbreaker for me.

Split between ordering a VA108M Sakura or one in light/dark grey.
The Sakura looks great but I can't wait for some of their greenery ones to be available over here.

Have that one, first mechanical keyboard, big fan. Wasn't used to keys with that short an activation distance so there were a few mistypes in the first week or so but I really warmed to it.
I'm lookin at Topre keyboards and I'm wondering how many people on this thread have had experience with them. I've been using Cherry Blue for a while now

Like typing on butter, it's incredibly satisfying. It's so smooth. I would go back to Topre if it weren't for the fact that I've gotten used to my WhiteFox's layout. My Novatouch feels too bulky now.

I miss my hhkb but I also love my 65g tx87.

If you wanna pick up a Topre board I have a few I'm not using, a 45g TKL and black HHKB.
Topre are amazing though. I know the OP is shit but the description of Topre I put there still is how I think of them today.
topre is just just expensive rubber domes smgdh
not even mechanical
Still looking something to replace this wireless garbage. How quiet is cherry brown in relation to cherry blue?

Same decibels (roughly), lower pitch.
Cherry blues just sound so plasticy, and browns are a major improvement in that regard. Browns do feel a lot more like sticky linears though.
