This is exactly like my problem
[editline]6th June 2011[/editline]
It said something like "BAD_POOL_HEADER" with this BSOD
[editline]6th June 2011[/editline]
Apparently a RAM or driver problem
I get BSODs everyday. My BCC code is 0x1e. What do.
Heres a cool trick.
Take that code (0x1e) and put it into google or microsoft.com. Your first page is normally the MSDN KB Article

The problem is, is that most of them dont understand how to read it properly.

i used to get those quite a bit, and from what ive read it seems like they are caused by programs that utilized a third party, i.e. bittorrent. therefore uninstall those types of programs(if not needed).

wrong!
The KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug check has a value of 0x0000001E. This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
so a driver is only able to cause this (new hardware with shit drivers cause this too as they dont know how to code)
It seems I fixed the problem by uninstalling Daemon Tools.

Been working without errors for four days
:suicide:
I think my computer has ADHD, BSOD'd again.
Any ideas?
[editline]18th June 2011[/editline]
It said something about Memory Management on the BSOD

This seems odd as well:
Component: AMD Northbridge
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: 14
Processor ID: 0
video drivers. update them or roll back a few revisions.
I'll try checking for updates tomorrow Jord. Thanks! Also I'm using a Palit GTS 250.
On the latest nVidia drivers (275.33). How do I rollback?
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
Different BSOD from the last one (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT). It was BAD_POOL_HEADER, which was the error for a couple BSODs a couple weeks back when I made this thread. I searched on Google a bit and here are some suggested solutions:
1) Flash BIOS/motherboard (how do I do that?)
2) Fix the registry
EDIT:
Crap just BSOD'd with a new error "PFN-LIST Corrupt"
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
I'm gonna try using the Clean Boot method to see if it's any drivers. If that doesn't work I will do the Memtest that I was suggested to do earlier in the thread.
Just check your memory now. go get memtest86 and run it because obviously it isnt anything but the memory now
Ok how do I do it. I'll get a flashdrive.
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
Like do I just plug in the USB then start the PC up?
just get a blank cd and burn it onto that and then boot to the cd
I don't have any CDs. I thought there was USB version?
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
I just downloaded an USB one.
I don't have any CDs. I thought there was USB version?

you can only make a bootable one if you are on linux. no way to successfully do it on windows that I know of.
Crap so I have to get a CD? I haven't burned a CD in forever as well so I'm gonna need help with that :v:. I'll try to buy one tomorrow or something.
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
So RAM is the problem? Do you think I might have screwed up the RAM when I overclocked a few months ago? (it's back to stock frequency, the CPU).
you can only make a bootable one if you are on linux. no way to successfully do it on windows that I know of.
Most motherboard have an option to boot from USB, I believe you have to set it an ACTIVE Proportion
Most motherboard have an option to boot from USB, I believe you have to set it an ACTIVE Proportion
But then the next thing would be how to run Memtest
But then the next thing would be how to run Memtest
You set your first drive to boot from usb, while leaving your usb connected, it'll boot from it and follow the prompts on the screen.
Ok I'll try that. Though I do believe Jord when he said you need Linux on your computer in order to do that because that's what I've read for the instructions for Memtest. I'll try your suggestion out though.
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
Also I'm sure you can't just boot from a USB just by changing some stuff in BIOS. You need to do somethings to the USB drive itself, no?
[editline]19th June 2011[/editline]
Ok found a blank DVD. So how do I burn the Memtest onto it?
i dont know if your on a mac or not i just woke up. if you are (and using boot camp into windows) here:
http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
if not just right click the iso file and if your on 7 you should get a prompt to burn it to the disk
on your mac: http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20060619181010389
that should do it. All you have to do is pop the disk in then there should be a prompt to boot to another device or something like that while it is booting in its first 10 ish seconds. find that key, restart then start spamming it. then you just select the dvd drive and memtest will pull up. if you get red, that is bad and you do have bad ram.
No no it's my PC. I'm using my Macbook to communicate to you guys. Also this is probably not the solution but I fired up CCleaner for the first time in a while to clean up the registry and I did not crash for a few hours after that. I'll try using the PC again to see if I crash. I'll still do a Memtest.
I also found my a blank DVD for booting up Memtest. I just need to burn Memtest onto it. Is it "Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)" from http://www.memtest.org/ (scroll down halfway)?

Yes
Umm sorry for late response but do I put the the .exe into the DVD or the whole zip. I feel retarded for asking this but I don't take chances with my PC.

http://www.memtest.org/download/4.20/memtest86+-4.20.iso.zip
get that
unzip it
burn it to the dvd using the link i gave you showing how to use disk utility to burn a disk
Aah I can't even get the computer to turn on now. I'll leave it alone for a while.
Ok after my third attempt today in trying to boot the thing up, I can't even get past the login screen without it BSODing on me. I still need to burn the Memtest onto the DVD! I'll try and not touch it for a couple hours while I'm out.
Maybe I should try reattaching some cables and things? As in the SATA cables, RAM, maybe PSU cables? Not gonna dismantle the motherboard though, just reattach the quick stuff.
[editline]20th June 2011[/editline]
By the way I HATE my computer right now
Why are you thinking it is so hard to do it on your mac? Cables are not the problem. It is ram. End of discussion. What we need to know now is what sticks are bad.
My Mac? If you mean to burn the DVD using the Mac the drive for it is really screwed up. DVDs get stuck in there because of me taking bad care of it. Last DVD that got stuck in there was almost in there forever.
