I was thinking red, but I think I got enough red (red coffee machine, red couch, red spots on my junk) so it's a toss up between purple and green. Looking at the website Blarg190 linked, can someone explain to my why the Ultra Violet LED's are grossly expensive?
Ftfy. It's true. Trust me.

aren't blue leds a lot easier to manufacture?
Red are. Blue LEDs are actually harder to manufactur and therefore have been "invented" lately (~15 years ago) by a scientists at Nichia in Japan. (Nichia also holds the patent for blue LEDs and got rich because of it. The actual scientist, who invented it got barly anything).
I heard pink LEDs gives you a pussy :ninja:
fixed.
Ftfy. It's true. Trust me.
Ha. How about no?

It comes down to Aluminium being more expensive then Gallium nitride. Don't tell me to explain it just believe me. [editline]01:53PM[/editline] Er.. They can contain diamond or boron as well depending on what type of wave length they are. [editline]01:57PM[/editline] These have Aluminium gallium nitride in them. Or Aluminium gallium indium nitride. You can imagine what that costs.
Because blue LEDs are cool.
Blue LEDS are annoying, one on my antec 1200 is pointed directly at my eyes, i had to cover it with tape
White LEDs are underrated.
White LEDs are underrated.
Agreed, I like seeing the components in my PC window in their real color, not in nightclub colors.
The blue LEDs aren't exactly hard to remove. When I removed them from a cheap case fan, I could have soldered on other LEDs if I wanted to, it gave me a ton of wire.
Agreed, I like seeing the components in my PC window in their real color, not in nightclub colors.
white LEDs don't show their real color either, fyi. there's too much missing from the color spectrum in most LEDs, so even with white LEDs it'll have a cooler color palette than it has.
LEDs are cool
LEDs are cool
I prefer buzzers
White LEDs are underrated.
Never heard or seen white LEDs in a pc
I prefer buzzers
Everyone knows LEDs boosts your PC's performance while buzzers bottleneck it.
Everyone knows LEDs boosts your PC's performance while buzzers bottleneck it.
Naw, man, that was only true five years ago. Now they're virtually latency free and a credible alternative.
Some shit around my house broke so I have to put off a new case for a while. How does a mix of red and purple sound? Diggin' the purple, it's purdy.
Then what do purple leds do [editline]02:39PM[/editline] trip balls?
Well purple is a mix of red and blue, so it keeps your computer average temperature, and makes it look like a pimp.
Why are 120mm red fans so damn expensive compared to blue ones?
Blue lights are cool :dominic:
I'm not a fan of LEDs, I prefer a very clean, not flashy look. The LED fans on the Rosewill cases are nice though. If you don't like it, spend about $10 on a different fan and replace it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147023
What about those LED's that can change colors?
Yellow/Orange LED's are the shit.
Fuck leds, real men use tinted 220w lightbulbs.
I always felt like blue leds can be brighter than other colors but almost always be less irritating.
Blue LEDs make your computer run cooler. Red LEDs make your computer run hotter. Green LEDs make your computer run faster. Some may say, "But I thought red made a car faster, so why not your PC?" What they have failed to realise is that it's red paint on the car, where as the red LEDs are emitting light and the primary colours of paint (red, yellow and blue) are different to that of the primary colours of light (red, green and blue). Just FYI.
I thought the primary colors of pigments(paint and whatnot) were purple, yellow, and turquoise, because if you mix one of the two, you get one of the primary colors of light.
Not exactly. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primary_color
how about take out the shit fans and replace them with good ones that don't have leds.
This. I want a case to come with quiet fans with decent airflow. I read pc fan reviews, nearly all manufacturers lie about cfm and noise.
