G7 for me. :smug:
Best mouse ever made
Best mouse ever made
Yup, only problem are the batteries, after about 8 months they go from a week of charge to a day.
Got a Death Adder 'cause I'm too cheap to buy a Mamba. It gets the job done! (and by "job" I mean pwning noobs :D)
Yup, only problem are the batteries, after about 8 months they go from a week of charge to a day.
They have never lasted me a week before. One battery will last a whole day for me. I just let it charge over night and change it once a day. Works fine for me. You can also buy new ones on Ebay for cheap if you wanted to for some reason.
not half as much as the kone. yeah it's got a little "pro gamer" advertising, but thats it. the kone on the other hand, holy shit they have advertised the fuck out of it, and not for it's utility, just cause it's "pro". the page is full of shit like "pro-aim sensor" and "turbocore!!!11!!!!one!1!" Logitech advertises based on utility and functionality, not words they created and "u will b pro if u buy our shit k"
So, because it's advertised as "Pro" it's automatically bad? Nice bias there. Have you even looked at the specs? [editline]02:27AM[/editline]
Yes I agree, the G5 does feel clunky, I'm considering getting a new mouse. Anyone have any recommendations for something that rests easier in the hand?
I bought the habu, it's not as big and feels more natural than the G5.
So, because it's advertised as "Pro" it's automatically bad? Nice bias there. Have you even looked at the specs?
nice job ignoring the point there. we were debating it's gmmickyness, not how good either one is. still, I will respond to your bad argument. yes I have looked at the specs, and they are worse than many less gimmicky alternatives.
I just like it because it has lights and shit. It makes me feel 5 again. I miss being 5...
nice job ignoring the point there. we were debating it's gmmickyness, not how good either one is. still, I will respond to your bad argument. yes I have looked at the specs, and they are worse than many less gimmicky alternatives.
Ignoring the point? Let me break it down here. (Not bashing the G5 it's a decent mouse) Kone has a 3200DPI sensor, while G5 has a 2000DPI. Both have Weight systems. Kone has 10 buttons, while G5 has 9. (Oh noez one button) Both have a 1000Hz polling rate. The kone is a decent mouse theres no need to call it "gimmicky". Your only argument seems to be the way they advertise the mouse, giving the parts brand names rather than just stating the specs. Who needs lights on there mouse? Who needs adjustable DPI? Who needs weights? Who needs mouse buttons? Who needs a computer?

no one ever said it's the "mouse to end all mice" I just think it's neat and I like it more than the G5 or G9 :iiaca: It's like saying [car] is better than [car], but in the end I'm going to go with the [car] I like best because they're functionally the same and I like that one more :iiaca:
Because everything I noted is a gimmick. (Apart from the last two they were jokes but you obviously didn't get it) So your issue with the Kone, is infact not with the Kone but with what people have said about it. I never said It was the best mouse ever either, that's up to preference but when it comes down to specs the Kone is a good mouse.
G7 for me. :smug:
I don't like wireless mice or keyboards.
also I find it amazing how whenever I mention the Kone someone starts bitching about how it's a gimmick and not worth it etc. and yet if someone said the G9 no one really gives a fuck
also I find it amazing how whenever I mention the Kone someone starts bitching about how it's a gimmick and not worth it etc. and yet if someone said the G9 no one really gives a fuck
This.
I have a Habu, but because it's not logitec i'm a bad person :(
Raptor Gaming M1. It's lovely and small and cheap.
also I find it amazing how whenever I mention the Kone someone starts bitching about how it's a gimmick and not worth it etc. and yet if someone said the G9 no one really gives a fuck
because every feature has a function, and it doesn't need to say it has a "turbocore" and a "pro aim sensor" to sell them. and logitech doesn't try to tell you that skill is a direct result of money. ITT limulus54 gets uppity about something that makes no difference to him personally whatsoever and has meaningless principals that won't make fuckall difference in the world
Had a G5 a long while back...had nothin but problems and after 3 factory replacements I gave up. Went to a Diamondback 3G for maybe 2 years until I recently picked up a Mamba D:
is the mamba any good? i kind of want one.
gmmickyness
Our mice have fucking lasers, fuck shitty optical mice! LASERS! - do I need to say anything else? Once you saw "laser", you should have given us your credit card information - after all, lasers are just plain awesome. We ditched our optical line because lasers are so fucking awesome. Seriously, MX518 is tenfold more precise than the G5 I own. More DPI =/= more precision. Consistent, reliable tracking is what is needed (and what I mean when I say precision). Why don't they get down to what really matters and make optical mice with better engines? I thought it would take getting used to, that laser mice must be better for tracking than optical mice because of the concentrated light and however physics works, but switching back to my MX518 instantly and consistently provides better results and tracking. Sure, the G5 has much smoother tracking, but in objective (albeit crude) tests, experimenting with the scale of acceleration I use in CS:S, the MX518 yielded a tighter grouping in tracking distance while the G5 was much more sporadic. Perhaps there are good laser mice out there, but from what I've seen from the G5, I don't think it's worth the risk.
MX518 Great and lasts forever
I've disassembled it on three occasions for cleaning in hopes that it would break or I would lose a small plastic part so I'd have a reason to buy another, but it still keeps on ticking. I'm also posting this to see if someone can prove me wrong with objective tests and prove that my unit is defective. As far as I know, lasers are only useful for low battery consumption. They should be used in mobile products.
I also have a G5. :buddy:

Razer Diamondback 3G
I've got two currently, a Razer Mamba and a Razer Naga... I :h: Razer products :>
no, it's like one one is better than the other, but I'm getting the better(that doesn't look quite as good) one cause they don't have bullshit advertising that I disagree with on principle. because every feature has a function, and it doesn't need to say it has a "turbocore" and a "pro aim sensor" to sell them. and logitech doesn't try to tell you that skill is a direct result of money. weights and adjustable dpi are not gimmicks, they serve an actual purpose. lights don't. neither does "turbocore"(to increase fps wtf?) or "pro aim"
I just PROVED TO YOU that the Kone was better when it comes to specs and now your just blindly defending logitec, because of Kones advertising. You obviously don't understand how a mouse works if you think the brand name "Turbo core" increases FPS. Go back to your vtec laptop. [editline]01:14PM[/editline]
is the mamba any good? i kind of want one.
I met a guy at i36 that had one and i played with it for a bit, but it got stolen from his desk :(
Razer Salmosa But, I'm replacing it with an OCZ Eclipse whenever it comes in the mail.
