g9x is great got it for xmas
The drivers aren't bad, first of all, I had no trouble with them. They only give you trouble if you're a complete monkey with a computer (produce some Shakespeare while you're at it) I don't understand how the shell of it affects the inside of it, I think you're just nitpicking.
general opinion is the only way to have reliable drivers for razer products is to use default windows ones which if you're doing that, you might as well have some generic £5 mouse/keyboard oh and the "shell" does matter, why would you want a mouse that feels cheap and horrible when you could have something durable and comfortable, hell this should be the largest reason for choosing a mouse "this graphics card gives me 5FPS at 800x600 on lowest settings" "oh you're just nitpicking"
I didn't say anything about drivers. And the shell does matter quite a lot. It's a light plasticky thing that you can probably break by dropping on the floor, not to mention it feels really cheap. Also, that high-DPI shit is a gimmick.
Not at high resolutions. Do you know how long it takes to move a 400dpi across a 1080p screen, you need to lift it up 4 times to get from one edge to the next. I don't need anything past 2000dpi personally.

General opinion is that it does.
The whole point is that it doesn't feel cheap and horrible, dumbass
I personally don't like how the rubber on it feels, it reminds of those pens that feel like they have fuzzy rubber. Makes my hand sweat.
Razer drivers are buggy as fuck, I've used the Copperhead, Deathadder, Diamondback, and Razer; all of them are complete garbage. On both 7 and Vista the Razer's shitty system froze up every other time I tried to adjust a simple setting. If their drivers were the only problem I wouldn't even be commenting. They're the tip of the fucking iceberg.
General opinion is that it does.
Not really, there's a fair amount of people saying they don't feel shitty as well. I don't know so much about Razer's other mice, but the Imperator mouse is fucking amazing, I went from a G5 to this and the shape is pretty much the exact same, feels great. It doesn't feel anywhere near cheap, mostly because it's not.
General opinion is that it does.
i just bought one and i think it feels and looks really nice
Meh, too light for me, personally. That's why I prefer the G5 with its weights.
Meh, too light for me, personally. That's why I prefer the G5 with its weights.
G5 is the one with the customizable weights, right? Looks deformed but it feels like sex,
G5 is the one with the customizable weights, right? Looks deformed but it feels like sex,
Yep, that's the one. It might look weird, but it definitely is comfortable.
Yep, that's the one. It might look weird, but it definitely is comfortable.
I finally agree with you, hooray
Finally? I just started posting today. :v:
Razer Deathadder. Ill post pics when it arrives.
Am I the only one who uses a generic €15 laser mouse and is perfectly happy with it? I have 2 Logitech wireless mice which I don't use, an MX1000BT which is horrible for gaming and an MX Revo which I loved but the receiver broke and Logitech don't ship to Cyprus.
100$ I use it for 3d design, gaming and as a remote control for powerpoint and music when I give a party party. MX Revolution
Razer are actually pretty good quality and have a really nice feel to them. (I don't get why people saying about cheap plasticky feel, they feel really rigid and strong) Some of the Logitech ones are good, but mostly quite chunky in size.
I have that mouse, it's really good. Feels sturdy. Got it for 25$ at a sale.
Its an amazing mouse. Love mine
Logitech makes excellent gaming mice. I recommend the G500 or G9. They're a bit on the expensive side, but they're well worth it if you play a lot of games.
Roccat Kone ftw

How exactly do you miss-install a driver? Either it works, or it doesn't. You click install, next, next, next, and it's supposed to work. Not crash. Not make your mouse fail to respond. Just because you haven't had trouble with it doesn't mean it isn't a valid complaint, especially since quite a few users have expressed the same problems.
G9X <3 Getting it in 1.5-3.5 weeks :byodood:

So perhaps i will get the G500, but i still prefer the looks of the G5 v2 over it... Edit: Oh this is my other acc, hehe. I was in the wrong acc.
Looks like a first generation. You gotta be careful with those, I think. Should probably wait until there's a G500 v2 or something like that. Otherwise, it looks fantastic, but then so did the old G5.

I used to use a Logitech G7, was great but like a lot of Logitech mice that I've used the mouse wheel seems to break quite easily. Currently using a Razer Mamba and while the laser seems more accurate when making a curve (Jumps less.) the drivers are less than ideal and the fact that you either have to use it in wired mode or put it on the charging stand makes charging the battery far less convenient than with the G7. (Which uses swappable batteries.) Thought I'd review them for if you decide to spend a bit more.
I have the Razer Lachesis, and it's everything I need for a gaming mouse.
Do you actually think a G5 v2 would be better than a G500 "v1" then?
I'm saying potentially. I'm saying it might be better build quality since it looks like they changed everything going to the G500.
