the Gigabyte gm-m6880 is awesome and nicely priced
Fix'd! :eng101:
I like turtles :eng99: On thread tho, I can't wait for my Razer to arrive at mail.
I used to use the Razer Diamondback 3G. Great mouse, but now I use the Novint Falcon. I prefer razer to logitch, due to the lights in the mouse :D
I prefer razer to logitch, due to the lights in the mouse :D
and now we find the reason razer is "popular"
I'm saying potentially. I'm saying it might be better build quality since it looks like they changed everything going to the G500.
So, if i were to buy a new mouse now the G5 v2 could be a better option than the G500?
I hate wireless mouses, wireless is bad in itself not to mention the batteries you go through.
So, if i were to buy a new mouse now the G5 v2 could be a better option than the G500?
Like I said, potentially. I didn't try the G500. Personally, I'd stay on the safe side and get a G5v2. They're a better bang for your buck anyway.

It's more than enough.
It's more than enough.
Hmm, I realised I like pretty high sensitivity. But i guess i can raise sensitivity pretty much without "lag" or w/e with 2000 DPI?
Hell, I find 2000dpi too high, and I use 1680x1050.
Hell, I find 2000dpi too high, and I use 1680x1050.
Well, im pretty used to like so high sensitivity so that i can move the mouse from the edge to the other in like 1.5cm xD Ok maybe not really 1.5 cm, but very high sens Couldnt i raise the sens in Windows?

2000dpi is high enough for that, thf. As for Windows mouse settings, you can mess with it a little bit. Don't go overboard though.
I've been told to stay away from Razer mice :/ hmm
A friend of mine recommended the Deathadder to about three people, one of whom being me. I really love it, the weight is nice, the shape is nice and the buttons are responsive. I've never experienced driver issues on any of my machines, ranging from Windows XP (32 bit and x64), Vista 32 bit and my current Windows 7 x64 machine. Some people say it is cheap plastic, which it isn't. It has a matte finish on the top that's slightly rubberized, which I find a nice touch. Then the left side where the two extra buttons are is glossy. The mouse glides well on my mousepad compared to other mice I've used. No idea where the negative comments are coming from, it's not like the mouse detaches itself from the computer and strangles your pets.
My sister went all Hip Mode and got a Razer mouse 4 months ago. Her MX518 has been hooked up to her computer for the past 3.5 months after she had enough. [editline]12:28AM[/editline] I mean, they're probably not bad at all, but they certainly don't compare to Logitech's best offerings.
Razer DeathAdders seem to be their strongest mouse in production. But I do agree with the driver complaints, I've had them cause the middle click to stop working and the entire mouse to stop working at their worse. It just takes a 3 minute re-install to fix though.

For example, mice like the G500 and G9 compare to the Mamba and Imperator.
mice like the G500 and G9 compare to the Mamba and Imperator.
so it takes a $60 mouse to compare to a $130 mouse? okay, that math works out

Maybe an AV program, chat client or something else could be messing with the driver. The drivers for these mice are pretty complicated if you think about it. Instead of a majority of the data coming from the mouse, rarely doing anything hardware wise to the mouse, you can now upgrade firmware and disable LEDs and such.
so it takes a $60 mouse to compare to a $130 mouse? okay, that math works out
Haha what? The G500 MSRP price is $70 and the G9/G9x MSRP price is $100, if you're talking about official prices. I realize they're still lower but thing is, to go by those prices is dumb because if you're smart at all you're going to go for the lowest possible price you can get, I got my Imperator for the price of $65 ($80 original retail price). Point is, you shouldn't be arguing prices when they're damn close for one, and you're going to try to get a lower price anyway.

I was talking about G5.
I have a Razer diamondback. It has served me well in my 2 years of using it. I recommend a Razer gaming mouse.
I love my g500, it's pretty comfortable in my hand and the fluid scroll mode makes it easy to get through long pages :D
I was talking about G5.
G5 is currently godly amounts of awesome for the price, now they're starting to disappear I see them more and more around the price of an MX518
G5 is currently godly amounts of awesome for the price, now they're starting to disappear I see them more and more around the price of an MX518
Eh, they're not really starting to disappear yet. I think it's Logitech's best-selling gaming mouse. They're not ready to drop it just yet. [editline]01:25AM[/editline] I hope not, anyway. After my G5 inevitably breaks after years of use, I'd like to buy another one. :v:
