You asked about the blue lines, I said it was a newer version. The original G5 was silver, the v2 is blue, hence the "blue lines".
I have a v2. the blue veins on the one in the above picture are a much brighter blue, there's quite a few very thick ones where all the ones on mine are all fairly thin, and on mine there don't seem to be any veins going anywhere near directly between each side. it looks a little like they've been hand painted or something
compare to

The brightness is due to camera flash and the thickness is probably a difference in proximity/viewing angle/camera.
Mine looks the same as his :S
It's just the flash.
God damn it!
I won't get my Deathadder before monady.
I love my G500. I upgraded from an MX518.
The texture of the G500 looks dirty :O
And the side-buttons dont look comfortable...
It doesn't.
Does your g5 look like this?

[editline]11:29PM[/editline]
Also, I think that Logitech is discontinuing the g5 and replacing it with the g500.
I know, but I know a store where they still have G5 v2's.
WoW MMO Gaming Mouse, highly priced, highly reccomended. It feels great, is astonishingly light for the size of it, AND IT LIGHTS UP!
The texture of the G500 looks dirty :O

That's what I thought about the G9 side buttons (erm...the G9 as a whole :o) until I tried it out.
Seems like a lot of Logitech's stuff is much more comfortable than it looks.
The G500 is nice. I need to get used to switching the DPI settings a lot more.
Deathadder is a fine mouse.
People who complain just think they're cool not getting the mouse with the outrageously cool LEDs
general opinion is the only way to have reliable drivers for razer products is to use default windows ones
which if you're doing that, you might as well have some generic £5 mouse/keyboard
oh and the "shell" does matter, why would you want a mouse that feels cheap and horrible when you could have something durable and comfortable, hell this should be the largest reason for choosing a mouse
"this graphics card gives me 5FPS at 800x600 on lowest settings" "oh you're just nitpicking"
You're getting bottom of the barrel shit than, I have a Razer Lycosa and Razer Naga and I love them both...Best 160 dollars I've ever spent. :smug:
Roccat Kone end of.

I won a $130 mamba and bought a Lycosa.
They were both garbage.
Oh, I should've gotten their more expensive stuff, maybe I would like it more.

I have an old Logitech ball mouse (M-S48a, for those who want to knows), and it's fine for gaming. It's slightly longer and narrower than your standard Microsoft mouse, so it fits my hand perfectly.
Couple that with a clicky scroll wheel (which nothing seems to have any more), and it's miles better than the misshapen hunks of plastic they're trying to pass off as mice these days.
Every single mouse I've ever seen has a clicking scroll-wheel. What the hell are you talking about?

why the fuck would you buy this

that has got to be the dumbest mouse i've ever seen
Every single mouse I've ever seen has a clicking scroll-wheel. What the hell are you talking about?
I've had a couple of Microsoft mice that have smooth scroll wheels, plus I know there's a few new Logitechs that list that as a feature.
I know. Most games I've tried still don't even support MOUSE4 and MOUSE5 (the two thumb buttons found on G5's.)

Ooh, right. I have a Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 for my laptop and the scrollwheel drives me nuts. Playing a game like Splinter Cell which heavily relies on the scroll button is annoyingly difficult.

Then set them to keys you don't use like \ [ etc with your drivers and then in game set the desired function to those keys. Besides, what games don't support it?
Random fact: you can't side scroll with the Mamba >.<

I don't have any names at the top of my head except Splinter Cell games, Prototype, and Red Faction Guerrilla.
My dad has the Razer Lachesis, likes it I guess, and it seems to be pretty sturdy, considering he gets pissed at MW2 sometimes, and well, it's still in one piece. I like using a trackball, but then again, I don't game much, nor am I too good. Didn't like the feel of the Razer, couldn't get my fingers to hit two of the side buttons...
100$ I use it for 3d design, gaming and as a remote control for powerpoint and music when I give a party party.
MX Revolution

theres like 8 buttons on that i would probably end up clicking one by accident fuck that mouse it sucks
Yeah, fuck the mouse and its lack of ability to distinguish between purposeful key presses and human stupidity. How dare Logitech!
I've had my razer copperhead since 2005 and it's still working like a champ (best fuckin mouse i've ever had, i used have a logitech mx518 and i can say that razer mice are definitely better).

I use

It's pretty comfortable, but it's pretty cheap. Of course, it doesn't compare to the others, but I like it.
no thanks, I don't know where they've been
Every mouse is "fine for gaming". It's just that the newer higher DPI mice are a lot more precise, and they can make a huge difference when playing. For instance, taking very precise shots at long distances using a high-zoom scope can be horrible when a tiny nudge to the right makes your pointer go a lot further than you intended.
Well I used to use this really cheap £4 mouse and i had no problems. Then I got a Razer Diamond back 3g as a gift. (Whats the 3g for?) Ive been using it for about a month now and its ok, I dont really like that program that comes with it though.
