Except, if you're like me, you don't want to look at horrid 480p (or even 480i) resolution pictures that are horribly distorted on any modern TV set.
welp it might just be me, but my gamecube looks great on my computer monitor [editline]21st May 2011[/editline]
Thread content:
is that prime echoes or just prime
or 3DO :v:
Had a Yamaha CX5M II/128 which was an MSX system but traded it as I had no useful way to play anything other than the music synth and the onboard BASIC on it (no cassette cable, no floppy drive and notably, no cartridge games). Also briefly had a 3DO but it was total ass and traded it for an equally useless Commodore CD32. Now that I think of it, I have a Vectrex emulator for an old PDP-11 hidden somewhere but have no vector terminals to use it with.
welp it might just be me, but my gamecube looks great on my computer monitor
Emulate the same game at 1080p with anti-aliasing. Compare to the original console. Never go back. [editline]21st May 2011[/editline]
Is PCSX2 the best PS2 emulator? I was playing FFX again with it a while ago, but it was plagued with bugs and glitches.
FFX runs fine on PCSX2. Make sure you enable the "missing terrain" fix though.

If so, almost NO GAMES were available for it, most likely due to the little interest people had in it. And the fact it was marketed as a music computer.
What was that website that allowed you to play DOS games without downloading anything?

Hey you might want to add this site to the OP: http://www.emulator-zone.com/
Tiny bits of content from TimeSplitters using PCSX2; It runs fairly decently, the story mode has some slowdown issues during anything remotely intensive, the arcade modes are usually fairly fine give or take the occasional artefact (protip: virus mode and the ghost gun cause bad enough artefacts alone, together, holy shit it's bad).
just so you know guys, you can get last gen consoles piss cheap nowadays. Prime would be cool. [editline]22nd May 2011[/editline] wait, can't you make the mouse emulate the Wii mote? that would work with the MP trilogy for the wii
Maybe some of you will catch this on time: http://www.livestream.com/inaciostream
what is it?
Yep, just started playing Smash Bros Brawl on Dolphin. Full 1080 glory. However, it does lag a bit during transitions of stages, like on the fire emblem one that switches between 3 areas.
5+ years and thats very optimistic. There is one guy that took interest in making 360 emu, but I don't know anyone else trying it. http://www.noxa.org/blog/ I am honestly not surprised, because consoles nowadays are getting more complicated.
they're actually getting less complicated, and each generation seem to become more and more a simplified PC
Too bad Dolphin fucks up horribly with games like Okami, I'd love to play that in full 1080p.
Too bad Dolphin fucks up horribly with games like Okami, I'd love to play that in full 1080p.
I feel bad for still not playing it. :smith: Looks like a fantastic game.
I feel bad for still not playing it. :smith: Looks like a fantastic game.
I think it's a bloody brilliant game. And I HATE RPG-style games. (although honestly the PS2 version is better but PCSX2 sucks monkey fuck with 99% of all games)
No, connecting to official Wii online services is a bit different.
bit shifting all the way
I play all my old PS1 games emulated, still not quite the same as it was with friends huddled around the glowing crt, but the higher resolution makes up for that. Oh, and Bochs (x86 emulator) is fun to play with, with it being true emulation and all :D
I lied. Okami seems to work just dandy on PCSX2!
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/vfwtO.jpg[/img_thumb]
I lied twice!
From what I read on forums it works in 0.9.7
Mame 4 lyfe.
My uncle built a full arcade cabinet. custom decals, two stick + button pads, a trackball and a wheel + pedal set inside. It's pretty much a HTPC hooked up to an old TV running Mame32 Playing Mortal Kombat on that thing is so fun :buddy:
Neat.
From what I read on forums it works in 0.9.7
Yeah, just don't fuck with the settings while it's running. [editline]22nd May 2011[/editline]
My uncle built a full arcade cabinet. custom decals, two stick + button pads, a trackball and a wheel + pedal set inside. I got a PSP Go for cheap a while ago and have a shit ton of ripped and converted PS1 games (not my fault Sony didn't put the ones I wanted on the store), gameboy games, and sega genesis games on it Say what you want about Sony's business model for the system, but toss custom firmware on there and it's one of the best handhelds for emulation 16GB goes a long way
I want to see what homebrew will NGP have. More possible emulators is a must.
Emulators on phones are the best thing ever. I love 'em
Surprisingly my cheap ZTE Blade runs the PSX emulator alright on 2D games such as Worms World Party. [editline]22nd May 2011[/editline]
No, connecting to official Wii online services is a bit different.
Don't need to, on N64 emulator the other players are connected as if they are using another controller.
Just a thought, PCSX2 should be able to emulate PS1 games too right? Or is that part of the PS2 emulation not there. If so, I heard you like emulating...
