Buying a graphics tablet. Is Wacom really worth it?

How is that helping me? From that post I just know you have two tablets Wacom and Trust, and that's it. You could at least say if there is a difference with using them? Is Trust less precise, does a battery in a pen really hinder your precision? Can keys be set up like the ones on Wacom? How big is it exactly? and stuff like that.

Does anybody know how can I make my nibs last longer? Should I set the tip feel to lowest (soft) setting? Should I put a paper or something on top of the tablet so I don't scratch it with the faulty tip?
