I don't see anything immediately that's missing, but OP probably has a tiny 80GB hard drive or shit.
I wouldn't keep his old RAM, as it's DDR2 533.
I don't think he'll need AS5 since he's not getting aftermarket cooling.
So cut out the gel and go with everything else?
Oh, wow. Are people still following you around and rating you optimistic?
I mean adding the DDR2 ram to the build along with the RAM I included in the build. Another 2 GB, although weak won't hurt, I mean will it? Not a signifigant benefit or anything but, hell why not.
He already has a 120 gb HD. He might want to get a new one, but that's up to him. True about the AS5 though.
It'll downclock to match his old, slow RAM, so yes, it would hurt.
He probably only has a 32-bit OS as well.
So cut out the gel and go with everything else?
Sounds good to me.

Enjoy the computer.
Oh and if the case you have has a Power supply in it, don't use it. Or it might start a fire.

It probably is 32 bit.
Can't thank you two enough. Parts added to cart.

If you can afford it, get the Vista X64 w/ Windows 7 upgrade. It's worth it.
It's nothing but 15 minutes of my time, and if it makes someone happy, completely worth it.
You might want to move your old ram over to this new system also, along with the hard drive and disk drives. Use the case you have on hand, it looks alright.

Prismatex, what do you think? Probably want to get that diamond dust thermal compound, I couldn't seem to find it.
You could always get a second GPU and crossfire if but that would be another $150.
That certainly couldn't run FO3 on full, let alone much of anything. Sorry. Plus, it lacks a power supply. He ought to stick with the build I supplied.
Yes, it could, but not with much AA and AF.

Really? I'm assuming he'd not have a very large monitor from his old computer.
I think he already ordered anyway. The one I built should be able to run Crysis on full.

Why do people think the bigger your monitor is the more powerful gpu you need

he made a shitty purchase
500 bucks for a completely new computer? Yea, I can make that happen.
Why do people think the bigger your monitor is the more powerful gpu you need
Because bigger monitor typically means higher resolution.

he can get a new case because chances are with a p4 dell the case is BTX which is going to give him trouble with an atx board
mine outdoes yours in every way

Yes that is why my 32inch HDTV has a standard res of 1366x768
it goes to 1920x1080 but most 20inches

If you actually read the thread you'd realize that he has a atx case on hand. However, it is a better build, and I said that improvements would be desired.

He was banned and probably will get banned again by lazyV, which is dumb because he really didn't need a permaban 30days was good

Computer monitor, not TV.
Would you concede that a 22" computer monitor typically has a higher resolution than a 17" computer monitor?

My 15.6inch monitor supports 1650x1080 but my dads work pc 22inch supports 1366x768
really can't draw a good comparison
Are you talking about a laptop monitor?
Of fucking course laptop monitors have higher pixel density than desktop monitors.
laptop vs a desktop
Yeah, laptop monitors aren't desktop monitors.
You're not comparing apples to apples.
Again, would you concede that a 22" desktop computer monitor typically has a higher resolution than a 17" desktop computer monitor?

Doesn't matter. Even cards as old as the FX 5200 can handle up to three million total pixels. To put that into perspective for you, 1080p is only 2,073,600 total pixels.
I know, but we were originally saying that he wanted to game.
Sure, a GMA 950 can push 1920x1200. But would I want to game on it? HELL NO
I get that, but it's not the point. What I'm saying is that nearly any graphics card can handle any reasonable resolution you can throw at it. It's not always going to look pretty, but it's always going to happen.
