I never even mentioned AMD.
But that is where a lot of the money was stolen from. AMD pored money into their tech, and Intel abused basic trust to sell chips packed with AMD licensed tech.
That fucking dumbass should be fucking shot!
Which dumbass? Oh you mean you? Okay then. If you actually read the reasoning then you'd know that Obama brought the case up with valid reasoning, Intel were manipulating the market in their favor by messing with OEM manufacturers and their processors, which is not good for rival businesses, and breaks varying laws to stop that from happening. They had it coming, they even tried covering their asses in the past, which didn't help much.
That's why Intel has been high up on the best places to work for over 10 years? If you actually did work for Intel, you're probably just pissed you got layed off for budget cuts, rather than being "abused."
The work itself sucks, unless you get hired on within your year's contract... which most people don't. It would be so nice to be a blue badge... -_-

Intel did have this coming at a certain point of time, but then I feel letting Oracle buy Sun is just stupid. Good-bye, MySQL. Even though I used PostgreSQL instead of you, you did well.
You obviously have no concept of how much 2/3 actually is do you?
%66.666666666666666666666666666666- the sixes go one forever i believe.
Intel did have this coming at a certain point of time, but then I feel letting Oracle buy Sun is just stupid. Good-bye, MySQL. Even though I used PostgreSQL instead of you, you did well.
You realize that Intel is only being sued because they refused a deal made by the FTC right? The FTC asked Intel to sign a 20 year deal that made it so they were to stay within a price range that was unfavorable to them and allowed AMD to undercut them in prices, thus allowing them to sell more product. Of course Intel shot down the deal, and the FTC, not wanting to let Intel get away with doing well at what they do, brought up another antitrust suit right after Intel had just lost to the EU for the same thing. And if you read why Intel lost to AMD in the EU it is because the EU is all about "fair competition", which they thought Intel was incapable of when it controlled most the cpu market world-wide. Now Barack Obama, liking how the EU works wants to see a lot of other companies fall in line with European business practices and is attempting to crack down on the big companies in an effort to be both like the EU, and make it easier for new comers to get into the markets. This isn't a bad thing, but when America has been promoting big business for over 100 years prior you're going to be stepping on a lot of toes and bringing a lot of strong companies down. The gist of the message is that the whole lawsuit is bullshit politics. Nothing more than that.
isn't this why America has the BBB? What does Obama have to do with Business and I don't see what the big deal is, I'm sure other companies do this all the time and get away with it
There best sueing microsoft for a shitty OS not the fucking parts manufacturers (User was banned for this post ("Trolling." - Greeman))
It's not against the law to make a shitty product, besides, Windows is fine by me.
[citation needed]
It's not from an official source, but it's from someone I know who was being deposed for the EU case and is also now preparing a deposition for the FTC case. It probably won't show up on any news sites until the actual hearing takes place. In the meantime, the FTC and all of Intel's competitors get to publicize Intel as the criminal in this case.
There was another reason that manufacturers of prebuilt computers didn't use AMD. AMD didn't have their own in-house chipsets and had to outsource them to people like VIA, Nvidia, ATI and SiS. Manufacturers didn't want to have to deal with 3rd party vendors and the possibility of that manufacturer discontinuing that line of chipsets leaving them up ships creek. I'm not denying that Intel didn't bribe and/or offer incentives for manufacturers to solely use their stuff, as it did happen, but it wasn't the sole source of the problem. Now that AMD bought ATI, they have in-house chipset designs and it gives them a more favorable product to computer manufacturers.
That's not saying much. All jobs suck; even the top 10 best jobs suck. Nobody actually likes going to work every morning.
I enjoy working, how can I dislike sitting behind my wall of monitors in the morning and challenge myself with the production of 3d models?
I fucking love AMD. And this is another reason why. I dunno about you guys but I find that AMD + NVidia is faster and better than Intel + NVidia or even Intel + ATI according to the claims made. So I see that Obama is doing something good, at least in my opinion. No offense guys, just an AMD Fanboy.
But in laptops, it's either shit or good. Based off of the video cards that are put in them. (The cheap laptops, like $800 or less)
I enjoy working, how can I dislike sitting behind my wall of monitors in the morning and challenge myself with the production of 3d models?
And some people like standing for 8-12 hours a day operating heavy, loud, and dangerous machinery for $12 an hour with minimal benefits and no over-time poilicies to reduce costs. What's your point? I can sympathize with the guy because I used to do factory work too, and trust me, it sucks ass. Not because I'm under-qualified to do anything else, but because it was the only work there was in this area. There are people like you with cushy jobs where you basically piddle-fart with computers all day, and the truth is a shit-load of people would like nothing more than a job like that. Problem is that America has this weird thing about relying on jobs you've never even heard of to keep the country running, and it usually involves decent pay to lure you in without you knowing anything about the shitty conditions/managers. In the end, it doesn't matter if it pays alot and gives good benefits, if the hours are long and tiring and the bosses are shit-for-brains retards where their only qualification is that they have a pulse, it's just not fuckin' worth it.
Obama keeps making me laugh. He's like a clown.
the president sueing people :)
