but does it work with windows 2000? I would try that.
It more than likely does. Still a chance there aren't drivers for it, but I'll give it a shot. Good thing I have a Windows 2000 disk lying around. Then at least his PC might not become crippled. :v: He would probably want more RAM if he wanted XP to run well anyway.
I seriously Don't know why everyone hates Win Me so much...I've been running it on my old computer forever and it works very well =(
Well then you're lucky.
Anyone remember the themes? Those were awesome!
Windows 98 Jungle Theme for the motherfucking win. Once I set it to the Mystery theme and something kept making the cursor disappear. My Dad made me change it because "the theme's called Mystery, it's made to make the cursor disappear because :iiam:".
Anyone remember the themes? Those were awesome!
The only theme for Windows I can remember is Rainy Day. I loved that one.
Rings a bell, I'm going to have to fire up Win 98/ME someday. :buddy:
I am surprised this hasn't died yet. Is Windows not a very busy forum compared to Tech Support or H&S?
Not really.
Hold on, is the Active Desktop thing something like you get a white background with black text and then you have to press a button, it fixes the problem and then you get your normal background? I remember that, used to happen often, but it wasn't a huge problem since you'd just press a button and it's fixed.
95 was the best.
95 was the best.
no u! ...Oh, uh, :sweatdrop: Wouldn't 98 be better? I mean, it was like 95(Vista) and 98 was like the same thing(7). That hardly made sense... 98 was like 95.

I remember when my dad got a new laptop and it had ME on it. I thought it was the shit because it had that pinball game on it. That was before it got raped by spyware, etc. (and I was too young to know how to fix it)
I thought it was the shit because it had that pinball game on it.
I loved the pinball game, then MS got rid of it in Vista. :saddowns: :argh: :arghfist:
I remember when I found out how to enable the music and felt pro.

I liked spider solitaire too, it was the only solitaire I ever played. :allears:
Unstable OS. To give it some credit though, it was the first OS to feature some of Windows' best features, like System Restore.
