Google is the only place for the extensions right now. (as far as i am aware) https://chrome.google.com/extensions?hl=en-GB
Well there's this site: http://www.chromeextensions.org/ I used that before Google released theirs, but I don't know why you'd use it nowadays.
snip
Where exactly do I download it? The link doesn't work.
Bye bye firefox. Probably won't open it for a while now.

But with the new system it does work better. so that site will probably disappear i imagine in time. only speculation though :) [editline]11:41PM[/editline] ill add the extensions link to OP
Is there a plugin that opens an new tab in incognito mode instead of a new window? That'd be awesome.
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd Here is a nice one IE tab very handy.
Add-on's, eh? I'm downloading it now. I haven't used Chrome yet, so this should be interesting.
STUMBLEUPON? Bye bye, Firefox. [editline]04:56AM[/editline] Oh, it's still the crappy web-based StumbleUpon toolbar. Sigh.
Hm, well Chrome is fast but it uses a lottt more resources than firefox does, mainly because it has a process for each tab and addon you use. Not sure if I like it more than firefox, yet. I just realized how often I used Recently Closed Tabs for when I accidentally close one, and I realized that Chrome doesn't have that, so it's back to firefox for me. Also Firefox seems smoother than Chrome. Okay, apparently Chrome has recently closed tabs, my mistake.
Any adblock or noscript plugins yet? If not, I'm not interested.
Any adblock or noscript plugins yet? If not, I'm not interested.
There's a couple, actually. Take a look at the extensions, there's a link in the OP for them.
There's nothing that does what noscript does. There's a couple flash blockers, but I need something to block javascript as well.

Not sure if I like it more than firefox, yet.
I just did a controlled test. With one tab, Chrome uses around 30 MB less, but with more tabs it uses about 30 MB more. Not a big difference though. I find that Chrome tends to use less memory than Firefox when I use it for a long time, opening a bunch of tabs and closing them again, or having tabs open for hours on end. Firefox seems to have more memory leak issues. But I haven't objectively tested this.
http://www.google.com/landing/chrome/beta/ is not working for me.
You mean the link? Or the download? Both works for me [editline]09:32AM[/editline] I have 11 addons so far
The webpage – www.google.com/landing/chrome/beta/ – does not exist. :frown:
Does this one work? http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?extra=betachannel
Yes it does. Thank you :D
No problem :) Also, https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/ldmhhkobonimkpkfoabdmmngbbjcgilo Minesweeper :v:
I'm tired of Minesweeper, give me pinball :frown:
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/edmhbjgjakegcnkfiimgajjljnjmgimg Best extension ever
The WoT plug-in works pretty well
What the fuck are you talking about?
Even better if you hit ctrl+shift+T it opens the last page you closed.
http://adsweep.org/ I think is better than most? I'm not sure, and I am probably wrong, but it is what I am using right now, and it works quite well.
Seriously. This has been going on the dev channel for ages. Old news.
Seriously. This has been going on the dev channel for ages. Old news.
Yeah we know. Doesn't change the fact that having a thread for it is nice.
