No one likes Lite-Ons? I love mine, it has incredible scanning capabilities. After I got it I was finally able to make copies of a ton of scratched DVDs that skipped or were unplayable in other drives, out of dozens only one didn't copy perfectly.
I have an LG bluray/hddvd drive and it works fine.
You need a blu-ray capable video card for blu-ray, if I recall correctly, HDCP or something.

Which is somewhat true...my LITE-On drives aren't the quietest things ever. Otherwise I've had no problems with them and I'd easily recommend them to everyone else.

Which is to say...it's like being on an active flightdeck.
For fucks sake, Rosewill makes decent power supplies that work great for a less power hungry system.
Yeah, for a shitty budget build of $200

Of course my PC is pretty noisy anyway so maybe I just don't notice :v:
SPI's are great, cheap, quiet PSU's. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010320058%2050001389&name=Sparkle%20Power%20Inc. Take your pick. Here's the most appropriate one, but maybe a bit more than you need. Closest to your power needs without going under though. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103022
Sparkle? That looks so unreliable. [editline]07:03PM[/editline] Also cheaply made. [editline]07:08PM[/editline] Why pay $100 for a "600W" cheapo PSU when you can get a Corsair modular 520W for $9 more? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139001&Tpk=520hx

Especially if you're watching DVDs. I like my Rosewill PSU too, but you can probably find a quieter one.
This should run everything. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031 And it's cheap.
OP, I suggest getting this 400W Corsair: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139008&Tpk=400w%20corsair Gonna be quiet as balls and reliable. [editline]07:18PM[/editline] Those Corsairs are incredibly quiet.
That's an odd simile. [editline]11:19PM[/editline] :v:
Sparkle? That looks so unreliable.
I've had one in both my gaming computers, it's just an under-rated company because they have a stupid name.
I like my Lite-On, it's just incredibly loud, which I wouldn't want in a HTPC. Especially if you're watching DVDs.
Yeah that makes sense, plus it's more useful in a normal PC for copying discs.
Yeah, for a shitty budget build of $200
And I'm going to ask, have you tried a power supply from them? If you have could you provide me the newegg link to it? [editline]08:10PM[/editline] I'm not saying everything that make is of utmost quality (Look into Corsair/Antec for that.) Just at certain wattages they have good models that have been rated highly. (Probably not for this build though, since you want it as quit as possible.)
@ Prismatex's earlier post: Sparkle stuff is indeed unreliable. My mom needed a cheap graphical upgrade to her computer a few months back, and I bought a Sparkle Geforce 8400GS 512Mb PCI card. After a month of light use, it caused a permanent malfunction of all PCI slots in her computer. >_<
Not sure if Sparkle Power is related to the video card Sparkle, but I wouldn't trust either.
