• Extremely low sound even though my volume is set to high?

So like, after playing a game of LoL, I realized my sound was fucked. I couldn't hear anything from my youtube vids, and I checked my volume mixers, my audio devices in the control panel, and etc. which all said they were getting sound ( the green bar kept going up and down ) but I wasn't hearing poo. Even if my headphone jacked into the green audio slot infront, I couldn't hear anything. So I plugged my headphone back into my speaker and turned my volume way up, then I realized I COULD hear something...It's just that it's extremely quiet. I can hear like barely hear from youtube vids & streams, but just barely while all my audio indicators are saying "HEY, EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE". Any solutions? Thanks. If it helps, my motherboard: Gigabyte GA-790XTA.
First of all as I suggest to most people with sound problems on Windows 7 and up, right click the volume icon, select sounds, then on the new window that opens up, select the communications tab and choose the option "Do nothing". This might not fix the problem but it prevents future problems of volume going quiet. When you hear the volume really quiet, does the green bar on the volume mixer go really high or does it just stay near the bottom?
