If wanting a GPU that runs cooler and quieter while drawing less energy over another that heats up like an oven, makes noises like a wind tunnel, draws way too much energy for the performance given, and only gives not even 10% more performance for irrelevant, non-mainstream appliances makes me a fanboy, then count me in.
Let me put everyone at ease in this thread. WHEN YOU'RE SPENDING 500 DOLLARS ON A GRAPHICS CARD, YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE THE MONEY FOR A GOOD CASE, POWER SUPPLY, AND A WHOPPING $3 MORE ON THE MONTHLY BILL. READ AND YOU'LL SEE THAT TEMPS STAY UNDER AT LEAST 80C WHEN THE FANS ON 60%. Don't blatantly argue with your opinion when IT IS PROVEN WRONG with numerous sources. /caps [editline]02:48AM[/editline] The most you could argue about is it's performance, which in itself is a can of worms. I honestly think if you play a lot of the new games and have the money, then go for the 470 or 480. Even if they get 5-10 percent less performance on some games compared to the 5850/70, it's a better player all around, given how damn well it handles tesselation. Plus now SLI scaling is through the roof.

You gona say something about it? Yeah? Yeah? Too much power? you shouldn't be buying a 400+ dollar card if you can't even pay for a fucking 3-5 dollar more power bill. huh? hmm? stop posting.

And when a GPU gets hot, not only does it get hot, but it increases the general case temperature, which really, really matters. I'm looking at this mostly from a consumption:power ratio. The temperature is just an extra. If you can't admit that the GTX480 has these two flaws, then you're the fanboy. I never denied that it was faster than the 5870. I'm just stating the facts.
yes you are stating facts, the only issue is you are pulling them from your ass. edit: you know what, why do i bother. I'll just report you instead. If you're not trolling, then you're just ____ (CAN YOU GUESS?) your points are awful. No fucking shit those are "FLAWS". Every card has a flaw. Why does this matter? and jesus fuck can you read our posts just ONE time? we don't just type up responses for you to ignore them, we type them for you to read them.
if he gets a little more dense he'll generate gravity
He completely bypassed my post and went on saying what he's been saying after I proved him wrong. Wow.
