Nah. Unlike you I'm interested in this thread.
Well it's an idea that is as likely as there being the Windows Mobile OS on the AppStore.
Oh yeah. I was using an app called Jaadu like a month ago and was doing this: (you can boost the colour up more, and on full colour this ran fine on a 1st Gen.) Only downside is you have to have you computer on and be in range of the same wifi as your computer.
Is there a way of doing this through cell phone towers with an iPhone?
Is there a way of doing this through cell phone towers with an iPhone?
Logmein Ignition app
Logmein Ignition app
Hu... Would that work on an Itouch with any WiFi signal?
Hu... Would that work on an Itouch with any WiFi signal?
Nope. No WiFi = no internet connection, period. *Edit: For some reason I read that as "with no WiFi signal". Nevermind!
Nope. No WiFi = no internet connection, period.
No, I mean if my computer is online and on with WiFi, and my IPod is in a different state with a WiFi connection, would it be able to connect?
Yes. LogMeIn doesn't use LAN, it uses internet. It was first made so you could control your home computer from any other computer with internet and it still does that better than any other service in my opinion. I can't wait to get the app once I get my iPhone.
Badass. Thanks for the info! [editline]07:33AM[/editline]
Yes. LogMeIn doesn't use LAN, it uses internet. Don't ask me why I did that, I'm babysitting and it's 6 AM
i am typing this on m ipod using logmein remote desktop i love you guys for this
This WOULD be possible, because of the steamworks API stuff which is available (this is how steamstats.exe works). A friend of mine wrote an app that allowed me to change my steam status to anything (idle, online, offline, ingame), I assume a 3rd-party messenger would be possible too, but you'd need to have steam running, I think.
i am typing this on m ipod using logmein remote desktop i love you guys for this
Luv you too brah
i am typing this on m ipod using logmein remote desktop i love you guys for this
It's nice, but not worth $35~ IMO.
It's nice, but not worth $35~ IMO.
Holy shit it's $35?
It's nice, but not worth $35~ IMO.
I totally did not use Installous. :ninja: [editline]08:07AM[/editline]
Holy shit it's $35?
Yeah, it's pretty pricey. Good thing there are... alternatives.
Perhaps better alternatives? I tried Mocha VNC for the longest time and it was quite amazing, despite some response lag.
Holy shit it's $35?
Yeah, it's a good thing they don't charge for the freakin' client app on the PC.
Should work, if you can port over stuff from windows, you can probably do the same for mac. You'd just have to download the steam files and everything.
I'll bet steam chat is just XMPP with a bunch of crap on top, it would be possible to figure out their protocol.
I'll bet steam chat is just XMPP with a bunch of crap on top, it would be possible to figure out their protocol.
But not their authentication scheme.
Oh that program is $35... I don't think I need to communicate that bad... It would be nice but I have other things to spend money on lol
The program IS a bit pricy and laggy but it's workin' just fine for me right now, thanks!
As mentioned earlier in the thread, There IS one, and it's called Gears! It's 2.99.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, There IS one, and it's called Gears! It's 2.99.
Gears isn't a communication tool. It doesn't do anything that you can't already do reparsing HTML via PHP and a webapp. IE: It basically only reads your stats.
I just saw this and i can only say. Lets do this!
